Is he a good actor?
Ed Harris
yeah he ain't bad
yep, probably one of the best hollywood actors; felt really sad when I watched S1 of westworld and saw how old he and hopkins are now
Everythimg he touches turns to kino
Yeah he's great.
>we need someone to play high-level gov/cia/fbi/military guy
>so.. Ed Harris?
Even Mother! and The Abyss?
Loved most of the movies he's been in, but I don't know of a role which he's really stood out for me. Maybe Westworld before s2 ruined his character.
he's not a "stand out" type of actor but The Abyss is a good role for him
ed harris and robert duvall are the thinking mans balding cope
jason statham / vin diesel / the rock / bruce willis are shit
he's not a great lead, but he's a good supporting actor
I can't think of anything he was in, that was bad. He's not a GREAT actor, but he's pretty damn good. You want proof? Go find a movie called "Knightriders". He starred in it, early on, playing a dude who rides a motorcycle in a traveling jousting reenactment troupe. And pulled it off. (Okay, with Romero, but still.)
That's how good he is.
I haven't seen Mother!, but I've seen most of his stuff. You can't be mad at Ed Harris.
You tell me
He was the best part of The Abyss. Don't even front, you choked up when he was pounding that bitch's chest and telling her she can't give up. Everyone did. Even the people in the movie said they did, because it was that powerful.
The role he was born to play was John Glenn in The Right Stuff, that role made his career.
BTW, here's the whole movie, in all of it's 70's exploitation awesomeness.
I’m that user and I agree
Bonus: Stephen King cameo at 24:33.
must see Ed Harris
Knightriders is amazing shit. Also go see Appaloosa where he bros it up with Viggo (they coproduced it).
