first of all, RJ never really went into the ethnic skin collor of EF, the only time RJ says anything about the skin tone of the TR people is when describing Perrin as "swarthy" which means "tanned/brown/dark skinned" Furthermore he mentioned Rand's skin was a bit darker then the other EF people, of course he was a farmer and therefor in the sun all day. He mentions Lan having tanned skin as well.

So I have no problem with EF folk being POC. The lone people specifically mentioned as being light skinned/dark haired were people in Cairhien, Tear, and Caemlyn. My biggest problem is the lack of ethnic consistency. Mat, Perrin, Eggy and Nanaeve should all basically look like they came from the same place. but even if the EF'ers were supposed to be white it doesn't affect anything in the story for them not to be.

I just wish there was ethnic consistency.

Well at least you acknowledge some variance in appearance. You know, a lot of the people in the two rivers didn't know each other. As they lived miles apart, and rarely travelled to see each other. When Perrin gathers everyone to Emond's Field. He mentions how many unfamiliar faces there are.

The reality is, that the two rivers probably sees a lot of cousin fucking. And they probably go generations before ever marrying into families from neighboring towns/farms. So my point is, that there could be pockets of isolated types within the two rivers. Perrin for example, lives half a day's ride away from Emond's Field. He's only been staying there, in order to apprentice as a blacksmith. Who is to say that Perrin's family line isn't distinct due to their own isolation from other two rivers folk?

They're all white on the book covers, every single one of them. Robert jordan didn't imagine them as anything else because he didn't think people were that stupid.

1, Replacing colored people with whites.(Asians fall under the category of colored here)
2, Replacing dark skinned people with light skinned people. Light asians taking place of dark asians for example.
But Asians taking black roles wouldn't count as white washing, since they're considered "marginalize". No one will say a Asian white washed a character, unless you're thinking of that laundry commercial, where a black man was literally washed.

Nynaeve did something that even the Age of Legends people thought impossible (healing stilling/gentling) and led to a man figuring out how to properly heal women.

Egwene basically almost singlehandedly restored the White Tower to greatness, and I can't remember for sure but I believe she also discovered a weave that reverses the effects of balefire so if anyone saw that that's massive considering how much damage balefire does.

Moiraine was pretty much from beginning to end shown as being strong, fearless and immensely influential, even to the point of being key to Tarmon Gai'don.

The Aiel Wise Ones in general were always presented as being rational and different-but-equal to Clan Chiefs, and I get the impression they were RJ's commentary on the ideal woman--strong and in charge of her domain but not encroaching on men's work. The Two Rivers' Womens' Circle was similar but more harpyish.

Meanwhile beyond the ta'veren what did men do? Pretty much any Asha'man who weren't corrupted ended up doing good things only with the assistance of women, or were generic battle fodder. Lan was a badass but kind of a Gary Stu. The Great Captains ended up being corrupted. Thom was pretty thoroughly great and influential.

Kind of but it's also about how the world is totally fucked because thousands of years ago men and women couldn't agree on a strategy so men went off and utterly ruined everything and destroyed society. So now people have to build bridges and work together again. It's satisfying although flawed.

Logain survives stilling, survives breaking and becomes leader of Ashamen
Finn does invent way to undo stilling, and somehow prevents Rands wound from killing him, something Yellow sisters could not do
Bashere helps Rand build Legion of the Dragon, invade Illian, and helps with halting Seanchan invasion - with Seanchan invasion very much halted due to suffering a massive defeat both near Illian
and Ituralde halting the north western Seanchan invasion with his guerilla campaigns, of rebuilding Domani and Taraboner forces into resisting army of invincible channelers
Mazrim Taim, against all the odds, somehow a out of nowhere male channeler born into 3rd Age manages to become elevated to the status of Chosen
Demandred alone achieved more than half the other Chosen did together, apart from some taveren asspulls he would have won with tactics and number advantage
