Nicholas Cage plays a painter living in a small village in Italy during the the Black Plague which swept across Europe. He dreams of painting entire galleries in cathedrals universities and travels the countryside trying to make a living with his paintings while also trying not to catch the disease. One day he meets a beautiful woman who he wants to paint a portrait of. Unfortunately she is a plague victim and only has 3 days to live. Nic’s character decides to stay with her and paint a portrait of her every day until she dies and he fulfills his promise, being on her bedside even as she coughs and dies. While Nic’s heart is broken and he also catches the disease, the portrait of her is deemed so beautiful the entire village cures itself through some divine spiritual miracle of upliftment and will to live just by observing his painting. Nic’s character ends up dying from the plague as well, but not before he is thanked by the town priest and the child of the woman who had also been cured by his painting. The movie will be called “The Last Plague Victim”.
Ezra will play a villager that dies of the plague at the start of the movie during the opening credits.

Ezra is a male model who’s quickly rising in popularity and prestige, quickly becoming one of the worlds greatest fashion icons and heir apparent to the throne of the mysteriously retired undisputed King of fashion, Nic Cage.
Nic had some sort of mental breakdown nearly a decade ago(lotta room to add mystery and later flashbacks etc) and left the fashion world in tatters with his absence.
Along comes Ezra, he started out as a humble boy looking to make it big, but seedy agents and designers filled his head and his ego grew too far, and despite Cage’s god tier status and disappearance (presumed dead) the young upstart Ezra starts mouthing off, proclaiming him to be greater than Cage ever was, insulting the legendary man, the trailblazer himself’s legacy.
All the top tier designers invest hard in Ezra, thinking they’ve finally found someone to take them beyond the heights of the original god of fashion, and in the process recouping the trillions in lost revenue caused by his disappearance.
And then, after Ezra has grown too cocky, too insulting and publicly dissing Cage at the premier fashion event of the year, guess who shows up in the front row (at a chair that’s been mysteriously kept vacant and unable to be bought for any price for a decade) the very next night.
It’s Cage, he’s back! Sporting some outlandish, incomprehensible outfits he allegedly spent a decade learning to craft in the Himalayas, he has returned once more to put young Ezra in his place and to save him from the vested interests backing him, the same Interests who backed Cage originally and now seek to destroy him and pervert fashion forever.

Near future setting, Amsterdam or somewhere white with legal prostitution. Fashion more on the side of that OP pic.
Android girls have started hitting the market but are prohibitively expensive to manufacture. Nicolas Cage plays a man who's amassed quite a decent amount of wealth for himself, though by no means filthy rich. He invests his life savings into buying robot whores which he rents out as a pimp.
Ezra plays a young gun who gets hired to the recruitment agency for human female escorts. His job is to find the best and brightest prostitutes to train and have join clients' brothels.
He's very good at his job, but he can't help but feel like he's squandering some of his talents. He also happens to be a hobbyist programmer which he's long been passionate about. He meets Cage's character who invites him to help program his robot whores to have more attractive personalities for customers.
The film is an exploration of the worth of women as sexual and romantic partners, touching upon what ideal femininity might look like while investigating a probable scenario of the inevitable growing android sex market and its effect on the human sex market.
You can easily slide a bunch more material into this framework of how it'll go.

Well, I'll elaborate.
Nic Cage is a millennial who got hit by the stock market crash right as he was coming into adulthood. The Great Recession made him seriously question his place in life, being unable to find reliable means of employment for himself suiting his capabilities. The stress of that period instilled in him, like so many others, a deep fear of financial insecurity. That is why he manages to amass a small fortune and why he invests it in a fairly sound business decision, about 25 years later.
With that background, you can let him have any personality he wants with no bearing on how the story got to that point. He can be as eccentric as he wants---who else would think it's a good business venture to be a droid pimp?
Ezra is late zoomer / early womber, relatively unscathed by the horrors of this world and so a lot more optimistic and cheery. It's that exact attitude and suave demeanor which allows him to converse with young females and convince them to become prostitutes. He's a bit flamboyant, a bit of a peacock, but above all, he's charming---and Ezra is perfect for that.
I think they're perfect for these roles---so much so, I would not have come up with this screenplay had I been prompted with any other actors. With this foundation, they can almost basically write their characters themselves.

Allow me to run with this.
SO Cage's character is very avant-garde, really out there, cutting edge, trend-setting stuff. Because of that, a lot of his designs have been considered hit or miss by the industry, so he's not taken very seriously.
Assuming this takes place contemporaneously, we also see that the high fashion industry is on a severe downtrend as people spend less and less on luxury items, grow more accustomed to fast fashion a la Zara, and simple, inoffensive clothing such as from Uniqlo.
Feeling more and more like a failure every day, he's desperately searching for a light at the end of his tunnel---a spark of hope, a muse to inspire within him new inspiration to finally make his big break. He finds that muse in the strapping model that Ezra Miller plays.
Ezra's character is a bit simpleminded. He's coasted through life on his looks, never bothering to develop much in the way of a personality. But because of that, he has a refreshingly uncomplicated perspective on things, including style. The fashion designer meets the model at a cafe; struck by his beauty, he asks to engage him in some discussion. That conversation virtually washes away the designer's artist block, and he proposes the model for a job.
He spends some time using the model for inspiration until he has quickly designed a whole set for a show. He's confident until he asks Ezra for feedback, and he replies with some offhanded comment that profoundly shifts Cage's understanding yet again, causing him to redo the set from scratch. And at last, he completes his work. He and the model set off for Japan where the rest of the film begins (after about 30 minutes of the opening).
That's all I bothered to imagine right now. I don't even have a theme or anything.
