what do people not like about the snippets from the joker movie?
Joker isn't supposed to be rational or have a good reason for doing the things he's doing.
His motivations are like those of Elliot Rodger. it doesn't matter if the things he's saying are true, not true, reasonable or unreasonable. Heck you can find them corny. The point is that the beliefs are genuinely held and acted upon and there are prior events that lead to those particular beliefs being held that are external.
They don't like it BECAUSE they find his motivations to be understandable They don't want to admit and take responsibility for the fact that their own social bullying can create monsters

Or rather, it appears Phoenix’ performance is too good and the film too sharp...expressing things that feel too true. When a product like that hits in a time ripe for it, the fear that it will leak out of the screen and express itself as pain is palpable.
I like the snippets and they've convinced me to see the movie. The interview and live-stage gunshot plus the dude getting stabbed then head-battered inside I'm guessing Joker or somebody else's apartment both sucked me in. The actual dialogue itself sound straight out of a bad comic, which I guess is "true" to the source, but Phoenix himself and the way the scenes are handled elevated it way the hell past what I was hearing. I'm hooked. Won't watch anymore leaks since I'd rather enjoy the rest all at once.
