That's why Rorschach, who he hates, is still very much a man with a conscience. Can Lindeloff give the same consideration? Trailers don't give much hope

I think I'm burnt out on comic adaptations or even original shows acting as purported sequels to comics. By itself, I'm not hooked. By calling it "Watchmen", showing chrashing Archie and having the masked terrorist faction wear Rorschach's masks, I notice there's some numbed reflex in me once going "I GOTTA WATCH THIS!!!", but now only giving a light flutter, something like "I would've watched this 12 years ago, now I know it's just stuff with bits added in."

Watchmen in itself os self contained and tells a complete story. There doesn't need to be a sequel, or a prequel.

to be fair, save for a couple exceptions, Moore has always developed his comics with the artist, talking about story and bouncing ideas back an forth on what they want to do and why. then Moore writes the scripts knowing what they both settled on and writing in a way that plays up the artist's abilities. yeah his scripts are fucking behemothian and packed with detail, but if you read them there's always a comment like "if you think of a better way to show X please do it your way". so it's not like Moore wrote it all alone then Gibbons just had to reproduce what was written. Gibbons also participated in figuring out the plot, the characters, etc. he's a co-creator proper
