Only complaint is the show does seem to buy into the conspiracy that Wayne Williams isn't the child murderer. I don't mind theories like that, but you absolutely have to provide a plausible evidence based alternative.
It's like they saw making a murderer get away with saying Avery is innocent without providing even a little bit of evidence that it could have been someone else. That's effectively what the black characters were doing with the clan.
Yeah the show does make a point of having Bill investigate some clansman but it goes nowhere and bill finds nothing, but the show never seems to recognize how significant that is.

Every podcast, book, YouTuber armchair investigator, and every single reopening of the investigation, concluded that Wayne Williams is almost certainly guilty of nearly all the murders, but Mindhunter for whatever reason decided to shy away from that

They didn't cast doubt on Williams being the killer at all dude. They just ended the season on a bummer note saying they never actually went back to investigate any of them to prove it and give the parents closure. Also, if you thought the manson interview was a let down you've got shit taste
