wow, i will market this for free
>all the Targaryen kings were blonde white men
Isn’t this problematic, I don’t think normies will watch it
maario naharis
>no purple eyes
what's the point?
Targaryens/Valyrians are supposed to be otherworldly beautiful to the extent that they immediately are noticeable/standout
BASEDI'VEMISSEDYOUSOMUCH
He's so dreamy
Fuck Dany
Who cares? STARKS WIN LOL!
Who cares? We know that Dany fails to restore the Targaryen legacy and is shanked by her nephew. Same as the White Walker prequel, who cares? Death itself is not a threat, he's taken out by a goblin with a dagger.
>Fuck Dany
Gladly
Even though it was only one scene, I’m still pissed that made rhaegar a protruding chin cuck. He’s supposed to be the most handsome fucker in ASOIAF
Yep. There was no baby or anything. It was complete bullshit. Nobody cares if Jon potentially fucks a wildling whore. The Targaryens are all dead.
they're also only fractionally Valyrian anymore, Jon is only about a quarter Valyrian, and thus not interesting
Why would anyone be interested in the Targaryen kings when everyone knows they're seen as imperialist conquerors and evil for most of their history and the House dies with Danny?
Incest fetishism?
>they're seen as...evil
According to whom?
>people interested for targ prequel
>no one gives shit about starks prequel
I don't even know how even Starkfags liked the Starks after that shit ending.
To GURM himself. He literally calls the Targs invading foreign conquerors in his interviews that had no right to Westeros at all other than the fact that they had dragons to enforce their will. Danny's death was to illustrate the fact that monarchies are stupid because GURM see them as overall ineffective leaders not based on merits.
why not just read the last chapter of every book, or watch the last season of every show, if the journey doesn't matter to you at all?
if the ending sucks the entire journey is pointless
Hi D&D
>He literally calls the Targs invading foreign conquerors in his interviews that had no right to Westeros at all other than the fact that they had dragons to enforce their will.
Nobody has a "right" to anything. Everybody gets their power and status through force.
>Danny's death was to illustrate the fact that monarchies are stupid because GURM see them as overall ineffective leaders not based on merits.
And a preteen, cripple tree wizard, who is ELECTED King, is supposed to do that? A monarchial surveillance state is better than an hereditary monarchy?
That's like saying that a fun 10 hour car ride is fulfilling when the destination is a plunge off of a cliff.
And he's such a hypocrite. Starks and First Men in general are invaders and conquerors who forcibly subjugated everyone else. Vandals and the top houses in the South did the same thing, George has some butthurt about "cheating" your way to the top because you have an overwhelming force advantage
Targs are serial killers in spirit and the average American woman wants to fuck a serial killer
>that free fall was pretty exhilarating until I hit the ground
Lmao
the end of house targaryen is terrible but you guys don't want to see aegon's conquest or the dance of the dragons?
Who cares they all die.
who cares about the star wars prequels? we know the empire loses in the end
The Star Wars prequels are not well liked. You chose a pretty bad example.
I lost interest in the books let alone a show, but if it has cool action maybe I'll give it a watch
No. Already know what happens, who's involved and what happens. If I want shit in more detail that actually makes sense unlike the books I'll just read up on the Anarchy (Dance of Dragons) or William the Conqueror (Aegon)
Nope. I didn't even necessarily need Jon and Dany to rule, but what we got was a slap in the face.
>he's taken out by a goblin with a dagger
no one expected GoT to have goblins, but it does
he's not "butthurt" or a "hypocrite", he just takes the very bold position that feudal monarchy is bad mkay.
It's fucking weird for that to be a bold position but the absolute state of fantasy fiction.
It ends with feudalism lol
>he's not "butthurt" or a "hypocrite", he just takes the very bold position that feudal monarchy is bad mkay.
That's a really bizarre position to take. When one delves into medieval fantasy, that's the system they have to deal with. He's not breaking anybody's minds by taking a stance against feudalism. It's 2019.
>feudal monarchy is bad mkay.
Literally all the other kingdoms remain feudal, hereditary, are direct descendants of monarchies, have enough power that they pretty much are still the kings and queens of their territory with only an oath to keep them in line and one of them becomes a feudal monarchy again while the other is elected a monarch of a feudal society. Lmao. George is a hack.
>George is a hack.
Robert's Rebellion happened because neither Lyanna nor Rhaegar seemed it necessary to tell ANYBODY what they were doing. George is indeed a hack.
>seemed
Deemed.
>..and the House dies with Danny?
It will be hard to overlook this, knowing that whatever happens in the series, it will inevitable leads to the extinction of the house/blood line.
No matter how much the Targaryen characters "win" in the Tv-series, they will still lose.
This is why I hate fantasy writers like GRRM who wrote a fantasy book series for people who hate fantasy, like himself. Yes, monarchies and the nobility managing the country is an inefficient political system in the real life modern world, but in a fantasy setting that takes place in the Middle Ages where the vast majority of the population is illiterate, violent, and just incapable of maintaining society, let alone holding elections, is just overall unrealistic.
The French revolution and many Coup d'état events in history usually didn't lead to a democracy, it ended in a tyrannical dictatorship far worse than the previous political system before it. And the ASIOAF world not only has the most awful aspects of Medieval culture, but also dragons, magic, and ancient conspiracy cults like the Maesters exist that intentionally stagnate technological development. Democracy probably isn't going to solve those problems diplomatically. You need a autocratic leader to impose such drastic changes.
>b-b-but the others will surely devastate westeros in the books!
we're slowly learning in the books that R/L drama is to Robert's Rebellion as archduke Ferdinand is to WWI. See the "Southron Ambitions" theories.
Also the Mad King torturing and burning the Lord of Winterfell and his firstborn son alive in the middle of court was more of a spark anyway.
>Also the Mad King torturing and burning the Lord of Winterfell and his firstborn son alive in the middle of court was more of a spark anyway.
Rickard and Brandon went to King's Landing for what reason?
you realize that only like the first 4 seasons are based on the books right?
also you can criticize a political system in fiction without depicting its destruction. Ever heard of a little book called 1984?
Sounds boring as fuck. Targshits are boring Mary Sues. Robert's Rebellion when?
The Targaryens aren't extinct. Jon is still alive and so are probably surviving Blackfyre descendants from the female line. That's not mentioning the bastard offspring the Targaryens produced all over the continent and beyond. Saera and presumably other members and their descendants of the Targaryen family left their house to other nations and were spared from Robert's extermination.
>also you can criticize a political system in fiction without depicting its destruction.
It's fucking feudalism. 1984 dealt with shit that could happen. George's point was to diss a system that has been done away with for hundreds of years? It's also not even a diss, since the system is still a monarchy in the end, only this time less stable.
what I'm saying is that instead of blaming the powder keg, instead of blaming the spark, you're blaming the guy who bought the matches. There was bigger stuff going on and it's still unraveling.
Nobody cares about any of those nobodies. Nobody cares if Jon hypothetically knocks up a wildling. The Targs are gone.
The characters are like a bag in the wind, they just randomly move around in Westeros. There is no reason why a Character moves from A to B in Westeros, it is completely random.
I'm saying that House Targaryen wouldn't have fallen if Rhaegar and Lyanna told somebody what they were doing. You're trying to put their actions into a vacuum for no reason. Yes, Aerys was going to be overthrown. I do not argue against that fact. I do, however, argue that the reason why there was a civil war, was complete nonsense.
>George is a hack
Nope, he just recognizes that the villains he made in the story (House Targaryen) are actually villains, and so sees to it that are they defeated. This is like complaining that Sauron lost. Its autistic.
>Game of Thrones companion
The book series isn't called "Game of Thrones"
Cast them.
More Game of Thrones™? Sign me the heck up!
>The Targs are gone.
Good. Westeros is saved.
>Westeros is saved.
Yeah, the totally won't just all secede and kill each other now.
Is this two prequels now?
Agreed. Most People initially thought that it was the same Actor who played Viserys.
Shit like that ACTUALLY led to the end of feudalism, so i'd argue its a good thing. A continental King won't bring progress, but war and conflict certainly will. Targaryen rule brought nothing but stagnation to the continent.
There hasn't been progress for 10,000 years, so your conjecture is worthless. Also, it's a medieval fantasy setting and not real life. I never gave a shit about there potentially being a democracy in Westeros. The medieval fantasy is why I watched the series in the first place.
Targaryens weren't that bad actually. Their Monarchy was still the most peaceful and some of them were really good Leaders as well.
>rush the main show just to make a sequel
why, just why? were they losing money or something?
Yeah but how many seasons of Jahaerys I's 60+ year reign of basically nothing happening are we going to have to sit through?
watch them cast a bunch of black people to play targaryen's
D&D rushed the main show. They had the rights for Game of Thrones, not HBO.
The unaired pilot had the Targs with purple eyes and they said it looked terrible
Viserys actor was actually good looking unlike Rhaegar
They were foreign invaders, the Targs that weren't murderhobos were insane in other ways (see Rhaegar)
This is brainlet-tier thinking
capitalism is bad at making art.
ASOIAF readers should be gassed. At least GoT is entertaining
>Agreed. Most People initially thought that it was the same Actor who played Viserys.
One brother looking like another brother is a pretty terrible complaint. I don't even like how Rhaegar looked, by the way.
>They were foreign invaders
Everybody is a foreign fucking invader. Do you think all the major houses came into power by asking nicely?
Nettles
Is there anything more cucked than people who whine about the show but insist the books will be better?
it's like...nigger books 4 and 5 were a disaster and if making an ending to this series was so easy, why can't George do it?
Pretty much. People put all the blame on D&D and don't once think that maybe George's story was flawed all along. A Storm of Swords is the perfect place to end the series.
>books 4 and 5 were a disaster
oh shut the fuck up. There's no "bad poosy" or "I know a killer when I see one"
"Her cunt became the world" and "sunset found her squatting in the grass" are a million times worse
Nah, it's been like 9 years since the last once kek
This could actually work well. The dance of the dragons and blackfyre rebellions could be super kino.
>it's like...nigger books 4 and 5 were a disaster and if making an ending to this series was so easy, why can't George do it?
Have sex. Incels hate book 4 and 5 because their waifu Dany isn't in it. Either embrace her and her entire family are the villains of this story, or just give up and admit you don't like ASoIAF. There's no shame in it.
Cast them
Bruh like 50% of book 5 is Dany chapters
>Incels hate book 4 and 5 because their waifu Dany isn't in it.
What a bizarre attempt at obfuscation.
>book 4 and 5 because their waifu Dany isn't in it
What did he mean by this
diarrhea is one of the greatest killers of humans, why shy away from it?
Who the fuck is that on the left?
HBO offered D&D like 4 more seasons but they wanted to end it at 8 and D&D were the ones who wanted 6 episodes instead of 8 like HBO wanted.
Based
none white hair purple eyes should be gassed
I think Rhaenys Targaryen, who is standing with her grandkids Rhaena and Baela.
>show is about The Dance of Dragons
>series ends with everyone dead and Cregan Stark showing up with his army
>its Sean Bean
Lupita Nyong'o
Idris Elba
Tessa Thompson
Even the ending is shit. Lol all the dragons die, lol both sides die, lol a Stark makes it all right, lol a young autistic kid becomes king. It's a fucking joke. If George is gonna rip off The Anarchy, he can at least do it well
