Season 2 is coming sometime later. They're not sticking to the comic story line so it's difficult to tell how far they are. If I had to guess, they're sometime before Herogasm.

You ended somewhere around issue #14 of 72. Shit ended years ago so you should skim through it. After Russia, they infiltrate the X-Men. Vought then kills the X-Men. The Boys then fight the Avengers. They have trouble against Nazi Thor but eventually win. Homelander then starts to go crazier. One of the Seven gets kicked out. Homelander then tricks the Supes into attacking the capital. Butcher goes to fight him. Before they fight, Black Noir reveals that he's a clone of Homelander and had been fucking with Homelander for years. Black Noir raped Butcher's wife and killed a shit load of people while dressed as Homelander. Black Noir kills Homelander, Butcher kills Black Noir, and then the military kills a shitload of the Supes thanks to a trick Butcher figured out. Butcher then decides to kill all the remaining Supes. The problem is this will kill everyone that ever interacted with Compound-V so there's going to be a shitload of collateral damage. He assassinates all of his allies (MM, Love Sausage, Frenchie, The Female, etc) except for Hughie. Hughie tries to fight him on top of a building and they both get hurt. Butcher then tells Hughie that he killed Hughie's parents, Hughie gets pissed, kills Butcher, and then finds out that Butcher was lying in order to goad him into a fight. Turns out Butcher always had a soft spot for Hughie. Some time passes and Hughie is now in charge. Vought escaped all blame but Hughie's grown some balls and manages to blackmail them a little. Hughie then gets with Starlight.
The comic's a shaky 6/10.

I don't read ANY comics besides manga (which are for respectable adults; in Japan, salarymen read them unashamedly on the trains), but your description is intriguing and I may -- may -- just check it out.
