Ani's sweet ass.

The music

Palpatine, Kenobi, Anakin when the screenplay is passable, some of the worldbuilding, music.

Episode II is the 2nd best Star Wars movie.

Why do these movies live rent-free in Gen X's head?

Visual design

Peak star wars aesthetic

agree'd

True endgame Luke is a mix of Han and Obi.

Only zoomers and the most retarded of millennials like these movies. They are not totally redeemable and they are not as bad as the trash disney has shat out but they are still not good movies, no matter how many reddit memes you post.

Immense lore and universe expansion. Funny dialogue. Effects more than a decade ahead of its time. Actual star cast. Carried nicely into a huge expanded universe with great books and a kino animated series.

Pretty much everything.

Obi-Wan

It led to the plinkett reviews and RLM's subsequent popularity.

only because the last Disney trilogy is dreadful doesn't make the prequels masterpieces.
anyway star wars is for onionboys and manchildren faggots

The memes made the movies bearable for me. Because now I can at least watch them as a comedy movie.

These.

anakin killing the younglings > the entire franchise

>Ewan Mcgregor as Obi-Wan
>Clones
>Droids
That's about it I think.

The Music (it seriously is Williams' best work), Ewan McGregor, world building, Sheev

digital zooms that are a key tenet of meme-era comedy, recurring throughout a serious movie

Post midriff.

RLM complained about the over-choreagraphy for the Darth Maul fight, but I couldn't disagree more.

Thats one of the best scenes in TPM

The fact that it actually had a place it was going. My biggest issue about the new series, aside from the awful characters and the utter desecration of the old ones, is how it has no goal. The point of the prequels was to show 3 things. How Anakin became Vader, how the Jedi fell, and how the Republic became the Empire, and it accomplished all of these things. The new series has no direction, no end goal aside from "beat the bad guy"

Worldbuilding

Remember when Grievous was an actual threat and not just a tin foil wrapped coward

incorrect

The Disney films were so bad that people realized that the prequels weren't as bad in retrospect.

You all are retards

Duel of the Fates, and that is all, I can't remember a single other positive thing that happened in these shitshows without reaching into spin off shows or games

Nearly everything other than many some of the awkward dialog. Rather than just remake "scrappy rebels fight an empire in space and there's star destroyers" he made a trilogy ripe with rich backstory and characters that greatly expanded the SW universe. It was only a disappointment to the people who wanted "scrappy rebels fight an empire in space and there's star destroyers" and as we saw with the Disney movies that's not a sustainable model.
