>falling for this shit thread
a study can't prove good or bad taste retards. however, statistics can show the best rated movies. also that reminds me that females had like 5 Harry Potter movies in their top which shows that females can't into movies.

>Mom
Grey Gardens

>Dad
The Mask. He cries from laughing so hard every time he watches it.

Someone post the imdb m/f ranking differences.

Chicks like movies based on books because it makes them feel smart.

Most movies are based on books.

Dad: Pink Floyd's The Wall
Mum: Sound of Music

Why can't women into Clint Eastwood?

he can't act and he's an actor playing a tough guy so it doesn't come off right.

Women just can't understand scenes like this

I read the book which was pretty good but haven't seen the movie. Is it any good?
I know Ang Lee adapted Sense and Sensibility, is it on level with that one?

Mom: gone with the wind
Dad: master and commander

Mom: doesn't give a shit about movies
Dad: doesn't give a shit about movies

so you were born in 1990 and that's the arbitrary cut off, lady?

>Mom

i'm from 91, my brother from 87. my friends are vegans watching capeshit, playing videogames and have girlfriends that force them to pee sitting down. his friends have massive parties every weekend with 50+ people showing up getting completly shitfaced, fucking in the bushes. driving motorcycles and bbq-ing.

>he doesn't know about meme arrows

both of them share the original Blade Runner as their favorite movie

How did your parents meet Yea Forums?

>mom

braveheart

Mother enjoys 'P.S. I Love You'
Father partook in 'Chopper'
Chopper is an excellent film that surpasses its bogan trashy roots, P.s. i love you is all right for what it is.

worked at the same hospital
(we're destitute and i'm stealing wifi to post this. all my money goes to buying small amounts of food for us and the cat)

mom: sound of music
dad: die hard

Not a very good one.

That's why I said "was"

sounds like you're just a faggot

Mom: Pee Wee’s Big Adventure
Dad: any James Bond movie

They went to high school together. I think they were both involved in the school paper.
They’re still married, but they obviously hate each other.

Mom's fav is Pretty In Pink, and basically any movie set in victorian times, any movie as long as it's set in those times.
Dad's favourites are either The Dollar's Trilogy, The Back To the Future trilogy, Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies, and Jean Paul Belmondo's films post Nouvelle Vague.
Mom is absolutely tired of Back To The Future, it's a running gag that everytime it's on the TV we watch a few minutes only to anger her. But they both aggree in many films that are favourites of the two, like "Death Becomes Her", "Arlington Road" (That movie about Jeff Bridges and Domestic Terrorism) and that movie about Kurt Russell's wife being kidnapped by some truckers.

As I grew older I've been feeling more and more blessed by having grown old in a house full of cinema enthusiast.

my mom loves pretty much any steven seagal or jean claude van damme movie but im not 100% sure which is her favourite movie ever
my dad loves gladiator, the man with no name trilogy and shawshank, one of those are his favourite
my favourite is master and commander or gladiator changes depending on which one i watched last

The problem with the lists is that it's a list based on IMDB rankings, a website whose audience is more likely to include male geeks eager to show off their refined tastes, with much of the general userbase also likely skewing young, which in turn means that there are likely biases in favor of recent films as well as those whose tastes are based on what critics say the best movies are.

Did your dad start nailing your mom behind her boyfriend’s back?
Is that something a parent would confide in their child?

Mom: 2001: A Space Odyssey
Dad: watches hundreds of cowboy movies, dunno if he has a favorite but he likes The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly a lot

But where are the boat movies?

Mother Dead Man Walking
Father:A Clockwork Orange

Mum: Love Actually
Dad: The Godfather or Any Given Sunday

I'm surprised that so many of your moms actually have decent taste. The dads have typical dad taste which is based too

Dad Fargo
Mom bridges of Madison conty

My dad was richer than her ex so she dumped him.
Is that something a parent would confide in their child?
You'd be surprised at what a mother would tell her daughter.

Mary Poppins/Cool Hand Luke

THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR
GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS

Seriously?
Your parents are cold as ice.

based braveheart dad

>Started as a cuck larp and became "i'm female btw"
