It was poor (wo)man’s STALKER

Pretty shit, basically rips off Colour out of Space but not in a good way. The best scenes could have been snipped out of the movie and retold in a mediocre creepypasta.

Intellectual kino albeit incredibly unconvincing performances. Especially the paramedic character, her delivery of lines were so poor they were better suited for a parody of the film rather than the film itself.

More feminist bullshit. To anyone that hasn't seen it, skip it.

ripped off the alzabo from urth of the new sun

Good but Ex machia is better

I was always going to watch it. My sis said it was just ok. I watched it expected meh but I thought it was fucking awesome. So much so that I read the trilogy it's based on. I don't recommend it though because it's a slog, especially book 2. Read book 1 and cliff notes the rest.

I didn't like it.

Awesome movie. Nice visuals, Natalie Portman and that corrupted bear scene. It's not the best, the ending being very bad in my opinion, but everything up to that part is pretty solid. It has this... lovecraftean feel. A cosmic terror upon it all that makes me intruiged. And Natalie Portman. Did I mention Natalie Portman?

based DROPPED poster

The visuals, environments and atmosphere were all great. Horror movies could take notes from the bear scene. That was some of the most unnerving shit I've ever seen in a movie.

utter failure of a film. I expected way more of Garland after the masterpiece that Ex Machina was. The story was incoherent, the visuals and sound design beautiful but barely related to the characters, and the characters were really the biggest problem, none of them were real people, just retarded abstractions of what people might be in the shadow of a Lovecraftian world he again completely failed to make real. A fucking talking bear? A plant human? An alien that dances? That is your idea of the 'shimmer' that is supposed to be entirely beyond?

Retarded movie. Empty and pointless. It's themes are so weak they're like homeopathic water.

I hope this guy returns to his talent and not this garbage.

>ANNIHILATION! ANNIHILATION! ANNIHILATION!
Jesus christ, for real?

The BLACKED scene was great

damn i feel like after reading this i like it less now lol

i enjoyed watching it, i thought it was beautiful visually and some of the creepy elements really set a cool atmosphere, but beyond a few of these moments it's really just a whole lot of fluff that i didn't feel connected to

Pretty much this.

Ex Machina is one the best movies ever made, and i'm not going to explain it to you, because you faggots never respond to what i say about it. Just watch it again when you're older.

it was racist and the book was better
this, the cast was atrocious and the firearm techniques were laughably bad

"Hey don't fall in love with the robot ok"
>immediately falls in love with the robot
Yeah best movie for sure

>...so weak they're like homeopathic water.

I love this comparison! I'm might end up ripping you off... I'll credit some user on the interwebs though :P

It's a decent movie but "one of the best movies ever" is a pretty hilarious stretch.

Yeah ok incel

I thought the visuals were a bit shit

Amazing soundscape though

>rips off Colour out of Space

durrr i read a story.

lol. the point of the movie is Nathan's prometheus thing, not caleb's incel shit. If you can't see that just forget about interpreting art forever

only part i didn't like

Hi Alex Garland
