Prove me wrong.
If "The Amazing Spider-Man" had been released by the MCU exactly as it is, it would've been praised

1 maybe. 2 is a giant piece of shit everyone justifiably hated.
Considering most people still shit on Iron Man 3 and Thor's 1 and 2 I'm gonna say no.
when it came out for sure, but a few years down the line hell no, seems it takes marvel fans a few years to know when something is bad see thor 1,2, iron man 2 and age of ultron
>most people still shit on Iron Man 3
Because they're retards. Iron Man 3 is great.
honestly this. ASM1 was a decent movie, but a totally unneeded re-telling of spider-mans origin. The lizard fights, gwen, all that is fun. ASM2 is completely off and not digestible at all.
The montage in AMS2 in which he gets progressively more burnt out from fighting crime and even helping little kids from his neighborhood is what Spider-Man is ALL ABOUT.
The villains were all shit, sadly, yes. But Garfield was damn great.
The second one is better than the first and better than the MCU Spidermen. was right, if it had Disney’s shitstamp on it, people would be sucking its cock.
This
Iron man 3 is terrible. So is 2. Honestly I feel like people just liked RDJ, not the iron man movies themselves.
Fuck you. It's better than lots of other MCU movies.

That spiderman costume is still the best one to date
Notice their penchant for using white women. Notice this and start getting mad about it
what do you mean by that?
ASM2 had the best Spidey suit.
I love how you included stan lee
Andrew was never the issue with these flicks. And he could actually resemble an older Spidey. With Tom Holland it feels they are doomed to make him a high schooler since he can't pull off an adult Peter/Spidey
Tobey Trilogy is still the best. Even the third movie has more soul than this MCU shit.
Why stop there. I think if they released the old F4 movie in phase 2 it would have been praised
This is how I remember Spider-Man. That's why ASM 1 and 2 are my favorites. It gave me the closet feeling of an actual adult Spidey. Holland is the worst... put that together with Iron Man being his mentor/suit that talks to him bullshit and learning how to grow... I just couldn't like it.
I agree, and it's sad that we will never get scenes like this again.

I don't know why people look up to MCU spiderman like he's a good role model when all he does is fuck up. always needs saving, and never takes responsibility. Not to mention that he's a shuttering whiney child.
There are plenty of piece of shit MCU movies that people don't hate.
Spiderman helping firemen and slow-mo stair were one of the best scenes in ASM2, better than all MCU solo movies. Also, him talking on the phone while in front of a truck
I'm not crazy on the film or anything, but I've always liked the weird and shitty ASM1 costume, with the sneakers and orange basketball eyes.
I liked the first one well enough.
I really like the web slinging and how the suit looks in movement, way better than the ps3 looking cgi of MCU Spiderman
No, It was shit.
Next you will be claiming Wolverine and Origins would have been popular and acceptable.
I liked Origins.
I can’t. The MCU stopped being good after Winter Soldier, yet people still kept eating the shit sundae and calling it tasty.
ASM was defended by retards when it came out, and it would only be defended more in the MCU.
Go to bed Shane, your movie was shit
The music in this movie was god like
here's hoping Sony will do a live-action Spiderverse film. But knowing them they would make it into a multi-part epic like with Infinity Wars or all that other gay shit.
>not including stanley
I literally just saw spiderman far from home and it saddens me Tom Holland's spiderman is dead forever because of copyrights. The amazing spiderman sucks though.
OP you're a faggot so I'm going to go for minimal interaction here:
not every MCU movie is praised. end.
This. There's nothing wrong with it and it's way better than 2 maybe even one as well
>Prove me wrong.
I can't

They really did nail Spider-Man, his villains were just a shit show though. Now the MCU has the opposite problem, good villains, forgettable Spider-Man. If I was autistic enough I'd try to combine these films into a fan-edit.
Completely agree. Personally, I believe that they shouldn't have made the first one a reboot and just continued Raimi's storyline forward. I love Tugboat, but Gafield's a decent actor, and I think it's a mistake tying specific talent to comics characters. Imagine if they did that with James Bond. I really believe that all comics movies should embrace that James Bond/Jack Ryan model, because it frees them up from any one actor putting a stranglehold on the people behind the cameras and holding the budgets hostage.
Except TASM 1 and Thor 2 are great films
because most of them are just really bland and formulaic, but without being complete clusterfucks. straight down the middle 4-6/10 movies.
When they announced they were rebooting Spiderman (the first time) I had exactly this thought. Why would you reboot the Raimi trilogy for no reason, I can still remember all the hype for Spiderman 4. Retard execs.
Probably not. It was released just before every Marvel film started getting insane amounts of praise regardless of quality. The reception of MCU Phase 1 was very lukewarm at best (with the exception of Iron Man). Then the Avengers happened and Marvel-madness started, but it didn't fully set in until GotG released.
Now, Marvel could release two hours of unedited video footage of Kevin Feige murdering dogs with a shovel and it would make $1bn at the box office and be treated like a cultural milestone.
