I made it about five minutes into it. does anything actually funny happen, or do people just bump into each other?

Ballad of a Workman
I Live In Fear
The Witnesses
Nights Of Cabiria
The Widow Courderc

Nothing, my trial ran out and I can't justify spending the $10.

The Friends of Eddie Coyle

if you're having trouble picking something go watch Betty Blue (1986) right now.

yeah I did register.....but I haven't gotten it yet...have they shipped them out??

No, they're taking a while, but they said on reddit that the first batch will ship in October.

why would i waste my time with the criterion channel when i have the lifetime movie network on directv?

breathless. my first foray into french new wave. i liked the smash cuts and off-the-cuff dialogue.
this is on my watchlist after i saw paris, texas, wchih was pretty good.

it's my dad's 70th birthday and I'm watching this with my mother, uncle, and him today

There's some good new wave stuff. And some of the Left Bank people who were friends with the Godards and Truffauts were great too. I would recommend Hiroshima mon Amour and Cleo from 5 to 7 (although I haven't checked to see if that one's on there)

truly one of the best films I've seen
if you haven't seen it before, enjoy

Only saw this once, but I still sort of remember the song he sings in it.

best boston crime flick.

As a Boston person...it gives me nostalgic feels

nothing because i'm not into twee euro grbage

Playtime is such an amazing movie. It almost makes me cry at how perfect it is. When I saw it, I was just in awe thinking, I couldn't make a comedy this wonderful in a million years. It's on another level.

The Skin I Live In before they took it off.

Did anyone get their charter subscriber card yet?

They haven't shipped them out yet. Next month according to reddit.

Is this available on roku?

>just watched gaslight
which version?

I think they're prepping for some peak Hitchcock. They added his super-early stuff a month or two ago.

Last thing I watched was Gambling Lady. Have you seen this, have you heard about this?
