Physical descriptions in the books say very little about race or skin colour. Literally the only character in the first book that's explicitly white is Irulan Corrino. When characters in other books are described, their race isn't part of the description. For example, Lucilla has got big boobs in Heretics, Waff is a manlet and the newest Duncan ghola has epicanthic folds.
If you want most characters to be white, it's not because Herbert described them as white. It's because you believe that the standard civilised human is a white man.

I feel conflicted about this film, on one hand we will finally get another shot at a Dune adaptation but it'll be a long way until we reach the God Emperor saga so we most likely will never get a full adaptation and any interest in a tv series will be dead because of the movie
But if it does great and Denis wants to make more sequels this has the potential to be really good

Fremen ancestors were the Zensunni wanderers. Logically most of them would be descended from Asian Buddhists (Zen) and Arab, North African and Asian Muslims (Sunni) but it's the far future and anyone might have converted to Buddislam, including whites and blacks. So the most likely answer to "what do Fremen look like?" is a diverse bunch with majority Asian/brown. Race isn't a factor in Dune anyway.
