Yeah I've watch the series about 5 times now and I don't mind him either. I'd watch a Wesley episode over a Troi episode any day of the week. Hell, even though I've watched the series 5 times theres an episode that I know focuses pretty much exclusively on Troi's mother that I still have not watched. I don't think I ever will.

I've literally skipped every Worf episode I knew was a Worf episode. The only ones I've seen were on accident. I'm pretty sure there are to this day TNG episodes I've never seen because they were Worf eps.

He's only really bad in the first season because Roddenberry forced him so hard as a main character and deus ex machina Gary Stu, but as the show progressed Wesley's character got scaled back and grew up to be a more mature person.
Ironically, the "shut up Wesley" meme comes from an episode where he was completely justified in speaking up.
