Good character

If Jimmy wasn't his brother, he'd be totally reasonable. It's the fact that he was holding his little brother down that makes him unlikable.

He was spiteful, even if he didn't say it. He wanted to see Jimmy fuck up and get disbarred, which is what he was aiming for by leaving him to his own devices.

I stopped watching right after he died, whatever that's worth.

That's what's great about the show. Chuck was morally correct in just about everything he did and everyone sees him as a heartless bastard. Jimmy lies, cheats, and steals throughout the show and both characters in the show and the audience like him more.

Chuck did nothing wrong beyond being a dick about how he went about expressing how he felt. Season 4 was a lot harder to watch than 3 simply because of his absence. They really need to hurry up and get to some real Saul shit. Jimmy, likeable as he is, really isn’t strong enough to carry a show without Chuck being his foil

He was both right about everything and a heartless bastard. The problem was that he wasted his time trying to police Jimmy even though Chuck never cared much for him by his own admission, so he was stuck in this limbo where he was obligated as a brother to help Jimmy out but was too emotionally distant to try. It ended up keeping both Chuck and Jimmy in this tug of war that only destroyed Chuck and made Jimmy worse.

Saul is confirmed for next season. It literally ends with him requesting his license be reinstated under the Saul Goodman name.

Ah okay. Season 4 was a little blurry for me because some episodes legitimately almost bored me to sleep. It’s not even because I need explosions or whatever it’s just I didn’t find Jimmy and Kim that compelling

I was at jury duty last week and one of the lawyers was a spitting image of Chuck albeit a little manlier. Same personality too.

I feel like eventually they're going to have to start doing more shit with Saul & Mike together, during Breaking Bad Saul is already in business with Mike regularly and Saul is also the guy who hooks up Walter w/Gus

Im guessing thats what next season will be. Gus is the primary reason i even give a fuck at this point.

He wasn't totally right about Jimmy. In S1, Jimmy was still cutting a lot of corners as a lawyer but that's hardly a rarity and ultimately his heart was in the right place and he was helping people. None of that mattered to Chuck though since he always saw Jimmy as beneath him and resented him because everyone, including their parents, liked Jimmy's personality better.
