I started season 1 and so far it's a very generic kids show, both for good and bad. It's definitely not the serialized kino epic some of you make it seem, and it sure as hell isn't the sjw tranny propaganda that others are saying. Should I bother continuing?
>hurrrr go to Yea Forums! No. I don't trust Yea Forumss opinion.
It gets good as far as children's shows go at the mid season finale, Mirror Gem. Thats where it definitely picks up the pace. It doesnt become actually full on kino until the season 1 finale though, The Return. You need to give it until then before you can really get a taste of what the show is actually like.
But yes, for my two cents it's very good and worth watching.
Henry King
Pros of the show: >Provides deep feels post-season one >Neat and enjoyable story line >Very emotion based storytelling >Pretty good music >Relatable and well flawed characters with arcs cons >Animation quality is mediocre >Due to the emotionally driven storytelling, there are contrivances, pacing issues, an inability to deviate from steven as the focus >character arcs, while good, are repeated >tons of filler with townie nobodies that only tie in to the story at the last minute and are ultimately boring
The show isnt bad or good. Just decide what parts of the show matter to you most.
I actually really enjoy it and think it's one of the best cartoons to come out in the last decade. The characters are given a lot more depth than your average cartoon.

Every day you post this shit here and everyone tells you to fuck off. I will not watch a show made by white men hating garbage. I love black, jewish, etc comedy but miss me with that racisn you cunt. gb2

>you need to cut your dick off before you can really get a taste of what the show is actually like ftfy

It’s good, but it takes time to evolve. It’s from the POV of a little kid who’s led a very sheltered life, so until he starts getting kicked around a bit and figuring out that the world isn’t just a bunch of sunshine and fun the story seems a lot more naive than it really is. It takes about half the first season for Steven to figure out something serious is going on. And even then he doesn’t really get it until the universe really starts shitting on him in the next couple of seasons. The plus to all this is that once you get through a bunch of the show you can rewatch early episodes and often they become quite different.

I'm going to second watching until Mirror Gem. The show has its ups and downs, but compared to everything that comes before it that is definitely a high point of the series.
Jaxon Wilson
The fact that you're even interested in this hot garbage shows how effeminate you're becoming

I think you're reading too much into it. Take a look at the artist who made the show. Pic related. A jewish, anti-white, genderfluid salty dyke. If you watch 10 secs of her show you know its propaganda trash.
youtube.com/watch?v=flLEr_sYC-k this tranny has a pretty good take on it, never seen the show but im not interested after watching that vid i dont personally agree with his political opinions, and a lot of the stuff i think like i disliked for a different reason, he seems like a turbo commie, but was still an entertaining watch
Austin Powell
I started watching it too user. First season is extremely meh (aside from the disturbing cat ep).
It kinda kicks off 2-3 eps into season 2 where it stops being just a goofy escapade of the week.
Brandon Reed
it is sjw tranny propaganda
Bentley Robinson
It's literally a show about trannies, gay brown people, and how hugging solves everything.
It's not a real show, it has no plot or concept, it's literally just gay propaganda in a kids show.
Cool, I'll finish up the first season at least. Thanks for the advice, I was ready to drop it
Evan Gutierrez
I heard the main guy just emotionally tortures the bad guys with his overpowered ability until they are gaslit into thinking that he is right, is it really like that?
Leo Watson
Kinda
Jacob Lee
is where you belong. They love this stuff man
Chase Garcia
Fuck you whiteoid
Logan Young
It’s the only redpilled show on tv
Nicholas Thompson
actually true
Adrian Morris
No
It's literally tumblr "everyone is special" feelsgood shit. My ex was obsessed with this show so I watched it with her. What a fucking waste of time
Kayden Cruz
Look at your answers compared to the people who actually watch the show. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously?
Lucas Sullivan
It had potential but they shoot themselves in the foot forgiving every villain. Once they redeem space hitler, theres no justification for fighting or killing any future villains while maintaining internal consistency.
The show is fine though, decent feels, kind of sappy at times. Most of the gems are lovable psychopaths, but Greg and Steven have an awesome and comfy father-son dynamic, and Greg is a top tier cartoon dad.
Connor Ross
>creator forces her shitty Ukelele music into the show No thanks
Jose Perez
No. The show is at its best during the first season then it veers off into telenovela territory with drama and shitty resolutions starting with Season 3.
Benjamin Perry
but according to trannies apparently hate it.
Carson Thomas
Kill yourself
Sebastian Martinez
episodes are like 11 minutes, its like you would watch a single movie or so
Chase Miller
literal trannycore you should kill yourself
Carter Nelson
It's watchable, but just dont get too invoved as some aspects just ran of into the sand. Also if you ever reach so far that two side characters are put into a barn don't wonder about the bullshit character loss and changes. There was some internal drama in the studio involved bla bla after the person got fired it gets better again.
Yeah, it really seems like just a coincidence of similar concepts at similar times. I still want to watch this anime at some point though. I was disappointed it wasn't on crunchyroll (I don't pay for crunchyroll, but you can watch almost all of their content even without an account).
Joshua Mitchell
Eh, Beastars and Zootopia also came out around the same time.
Jace Brown
It's certainly not the best cartoon on the market but if you're a suicidal gender queer freak you should feel right at home watching it.
Christopher Hill
Why do you get mad SO easily?
Oliver Cook
Yeah there was a part 2 I think. I was talking about how the main cast of gems are fairly complex characters individually, and that only becomes apparent when contrasted against the collective hegemony of homeworld. I was pretty high on Jordan Peterson at the time and it showed, but I kind of fell off that wagon.
Additionally, I was being a bit heavy handed on the anti-sjw rhetoric because I was addressing it to /pol/, and that was indicative of the prevailing attitude at the time. To summarize my overlong rant: the "redpill" of the show is that when the writers try to inject progressive themes into the narrative, they either walk them back because it doesnt make logical sense, or it comes off as stupid when contrasted against better writing. The natural story they manage to (accidentally) tell comes across as far more genuine than any forced themes.
For example, they made a show where a sensitive effeminate boy has three [lesbian] moms who also happen to be immortal magic aliens; but the most compelling relationship in the entire show is between Steven and his dad. And that's just comfy and nice.
And I actually do enjoy the show and I dont find it terribly preachy. I think the "woke" fascination with it is thoroughly surface level because they just see "LGBTQIAJDSJSBABSI REPRESENTATION" and fawn over it, while missing the point that theres a lot of depth to the show if you bother to think about it.
(To be fair, theres also some profoundly stupid writing in Steven universe, but on a whole its enjoyable for what it is, and had potential to be much better)
Seems like it. Allthough I noticed I only spend so much time here when given the chance. When I an traveling somewhere I don't go out of my way to get wifi to browse here. I went month without Yea Forums just fine when I was in africa. I could have sat down in the backpackers and stole their wifi, but I diddn't feel the need even when I was bored sometimes. I probably only spend som much time here because it already imprinted in my behavior to open this site when I am in my ofiice/computer room.
