It's not a video game, and it's probably a stupid thought, but I just can't shake the feeling that there's a brilliant horror movie rattling around in this cartoon in Wackiki Wabbit.

Imagine it. A horror film without a drop of blood, in broad daylight. With two men trying to lower each other's guard so he can use the last of his strength to kill and eat the other, even if it's just to live for one more day. Unbearable, pregnant pauses and exchanged smiles putting the thinnest veneer on their fraying sanity.
And maybe a smattering of optical illusions and trickery for the island they wash up on. Not from a rabbit of course, but someone else. Maybe someone who washed up on the island like them. It'd still have the same beats as the cartoon, the pleasant, humming saxophones juxtaposed against the murderous tension on that little raft, the pursuit of the islander, the distorted camera angles and confusion of what's where, and the arrival of the ship only for them to miss it. If you think this is all dumb, then say it, I got a thick skin. Maybe it's just a folly, but I can't help but want to squirm and hold my breath over a horror film on a trippy island.
