They look at Alien from different angles. All sound interpretation. But when it gets to the political angle they squirm and pretty much lie.
Alien shows a functioning micro society with working class, middle class and government and behind that the corporation with it's profit interest. The corporation then - against the explicit rules of the society - brings in an foreigner (the xeno) which then destroys the society from within. That is the movie Alien on a political level. Very xenophobic and absolutely not PC. So it is unacceptable to even state this.
The doc prances around and never once mentiones the xenophobic nature of the movie.
