You're personal lives are interesting but I wanna hear from the old timers

>I mean how was the general mood of the board
What? It happened in 2001, dude.

wrong timeline friend, should've asked this before mass migration of offsite scum.

redditfags were sending thoughts and prayers while Yea Forums was making memes

I was out with a friend looking for pc games to buy at the used game store when one of the employees said that a plane crashed into one of the towers. We ended up buying microsoft flight simulator 2001 and later that evening flying planes and helicopters into the WTC in game. good times

Laughed a lot as our shift manager had the centre page full photo of people jumping, then our boss went mental, almost got fired. Great times, fuck Yanks.

You don't witness spectacles like that many times during your lifetime, and I was like 9 so it was just cool.

The world will end on September 23, 2019.

He obviously meant SomethingAwful

woke

watched the horror show replays of jumpers and collapsing skyscrapers on tv for a while as it stirred up collective bloodlust nationwide

Imagine if 11/09 happened during the peak of baneposting...

> this species has another thousand years to go min.

Right after the raid?

>thousand

I waded through blood & bone in the streets of Manhatten, looking for my brother...

Damn, that's only nine days away. Think anything crazy will happen?

I was only a year old when it happened.

People coming

Let's just say, the nukes are a meme.

we were at school and the teachers suddenly met at the faculty room and they were crying. we saw that the first tower was smoking and wondered what's happening. then we heard that a plane crashed into the towers. i was still in 3rd grade so it was kinda a shock to us. my mother came moments later and said she's picking me up and then we saw the 2nd plane crash into the other tower. we were so shocked. later at the car my mom started crying and so did i. i never knew why but that feeling someone fucked america was in there. we weren't so invurnerable anymore

I was in Israel
For some reason everyone there was laughing and dancing

I danced with my fellow Israelis

I was working my first job, and my coworkers and me, we were on break, heard it on the radio in our work vehicle. We went over to this apartment place, it was called Doric Towers iirc, in New Jersey. A shit hole lmao like most of US. We had a good view of the WTC, it was smoking, as my leader Sivan laughed it would be. It was fun, cause we got up on our van and we were cracking up, I decided to flick my lighter like I was at a concert. It was quite a sight, I had been told a few days before what to sorta expect buy nothing of this magnitude. Unfortunately my job and trip took a detour and I had to move back home, but I hope to revisit America soon, probably in the Southeast this time.

@Ink Para I reacted by harassing people IRL to avoid ban

I remember getting a call from my father to turn the TV onto the sports network. He was on TV from a race on September 2nd. Then about a year later I heard about 9/11 in school and I told my teacher, "My father was on TV on 9/11". They always thought my father was a hero.

It would end on my birthday.

I came home from school and a friend called and said to turn on the TV, where I saw the first tower collapse live. It felt weird and everyone knew the US was going to use it as an excuse to fuck over another country or two.
Got to say, as horrible as this was the US is never going to fucking shut up about it. 18 fucking years and social media is acting like it happened yesterday.

I was 1yo when that happened lmao

>Where's my fucking DBZ

My dad was pretty pissed about it since he wanted to watch The Simpsons but couldnt because the media had to cry about "Muh terror in the US"

Is this bait?

MOOOOO-

fuck he's allowed

I spent most of the morning on Something Awful and my usual IRC channel and we were all very shocked and upset

Kek sounds like a good day all in all.

I was 8 in 3rd grade when it happened. We were at recess and the teachers suddenly called us in saying there was too much pollen in the air. We went the rest of the day as normal but my mom was watching the news coverage when I got home. I didn't really understand that it was done on purpose and not on accident. We went to McDonalds later so I could get a bionicle happy meal. I remember the gas station being absolutely packed because when a terrorist attack is happening apparently you need to get gas ASAP.

We wuz dancing in the streets n shiet
DEATH TO AMERICA

Spotted the fellow Ausfag.
I remember my Mum waking me up in the morning to tell me that 'America had been Attacked' then at school one of my teachers gave up on any class and had the news on TV. Seeing the people jumping was fucked.

30 year old boomer here. I remember not really caring. I lived in a Cleveland suburb. There were dozens of places that would get attacked before anyone bothered attacking Cleveland, let alone my sleepy suburb. Less than 5% of the student body had their parents take them home for the day out of fear. We were all jealous of those that got to miss a day of school.
