I was a huge fan for years, but honestly, no.

It's a great story, but the ending is so awful it just sinks the whole ship. Years of build up and hinting and world building, none of it went anywhere. It destroyed my ability to rewatch and enjoy it, knowing where it all ends up, and how much it all means.
