So who was really the devil? The spirit chick or one of the shamans?

Not a horror i guess but The Skin I Live In is good.
Shamans

What is some other spooky yet comfy Asian kino

Dark water comes to mind

The spirit girl tried to protect the cop guy

The devil was that literal demon guy in the cave

Kwaidan, Onibaba, Kuroneko, The Noisy Requiem

there are arguments that support both schools of thought

That movie wasn't that good. Too many things left unexplained.

Why was the devil portrayed to be frail and vulnerable during the ritual scene? He came off as way too human, especially when he found out that the corpse had become a zombie.

Climax is a horror movie?

yeah

the film is a real puzzle. think of the thing. director put things and details inside that support all sides

The Wailing is fucking shit. Way, way too convoluted for it's own good.
>Shaman good!
>Shaman bad!
>Ghost Lady good!
>Ghost Lady bad!
>Ghost Lady good for real!
>Japanese guy bad!
>Japanese guy good?
>Japanese guy demon!
Not to mention the main character has a gun (I double checked) and never uses it. Finally, the ending doesn't make any sense. The hero has NO incentive to go back to his house, but he does anyway, getting his entire family killed. Just nonsense.
>inb4 brainlet
I heard the same lame responses before. A Tale of Two Sisters is also convoluted nonsense.

there arent usa is best and all rest are third world mad max shithole wasteland countries or perverted and corrupted like europe.

You're the brainlet. Did you laugh when the two cops were slipping on rocks and did a double take when the other guy got hit by lightning? Sickening

I saw a movie called The nightshifter at a festival and was very surprised, the protagonist wasnt the usual good guy we see on horror films.

Borgman, it's a really creepy movie, i dont know if it can be classified as a horror, but i would definitely recommend it.

Brainlet
