Depends on what you mean by rightist. Leftists usually regard the struggle as socialism vs capitalism, but the fact is that capitalism is also historically an enemy of hierarchy and nationalism. Look at all the corporations pushing LGBT and mass immigration today.

To me, "rightist" suggests movies about national pride, masculinity, and the preservation of order. Trouble is, there have been precious few movies about that because the film industry has always been controlled by the enemies of that.

Is the individual the hero or the villain. Superhero movies and westerns tend to tip toe into right wing, Randian objectivist narratives where the individual knows better than the status quo and triumphs alone against corruption or danger that lays bare.

it's basically a series of vignettes about a lighthouse keeper, his wife, kids, and dad over ten years as he gets transferred to different lighthouses around japan. it's genuinely disarming to see a marriage and family portrayed in such a mundanely positive way. the husband never cheats on the wife. none of the kids turn out gay.

the biggest drama comes up at the end as the main character's father tells one of his grandchildren that, after he dies, he wants the grandson to burn the photo albums with all the pictures of the grandfather. the justification was some mystical nonsense of leaving behind physical things I can't remember. surprise surprise the final scene has the grandson almost burning the photo albums, but then pulling one out of the fire and saying "I'm sorry grandfather but I'm keeping this one"

contrast it with something like American Beauty. in america it seems natural that a movie about a family must end with the wife fucking her boss, the daughter running away with a drug dealer, and the dad almost fucking a teenager. of course suburban family life is a facade!

While not a lot of movies are right wing, the best ones usually are. Buffalo 66, everything by Kubrick, everything by Ozu, everything by Cassavetes. A few good left wing directors exist, like Paul Schrader, but most of the best are right wing. And that's probably because the auteur philosophy is inherently pro hierarchy

No, it's not. It plays into their plan. LGBTs are more depressed and promiscuous. They use more drugs, prescription and otherwise. And they spend more money on vapid, useless things. They cause the birth rate to plummet, depression to increase, and fuel the pharma industry. Then the mass immigration can come in an ethnically replace everyone. then the husband wakes up and the wife is gone. he goes looking for her and she's drowned herself in the lake.

basically, the husband had some hippy dippy theory about free love that he thought overrides what god said about marriage. nope. maybe even though it's the 1960s, man, it doesn't mean that human nature gets to be whatever you want it to be.
