I think people give too much weight to the gravity of a role. Joe Pesci gives an absolutely fantastic performance in Goodfellas; like for the character I could not find a single flaw. Why is that less than someone playing a dramatic role? If its about "talent" or inability, do you think fucking DDL could have EVER played Tommy?
