this premiered yesterday
did anyone watch it? how good was it?
COLOR OUT OF SPACE (2019)
>movie already premiered
>no trailer
It was literal shit as expected from anything lovecrap related
premiered where?
How can you make a movie based on something having a color no man has ever seen before?
Do want to see
TIFF
black and white
i don't get why this movie doesn't have a trailer
it's literally 101 marketing movies
>The film is scheduled to screen on Sept. 7 at Ryerson Theater.
>t. spectrevision
some reviews out on letterboxed but nothing official yet. someone called it a "goofy horror flick" and the other guy said it was too much like Annihilation with Annihilation being much better.
is there a torrent?
So what was the color?
I hope it's purple
>i don't get why this movie doesn't have a trailer
it was independently financed and didn't even have a distributor until 2 days ago. it's the distributor who cuts and releases the trailer, not the filmmakers or producers.
because the fact it is a color that cannot be described isn't pivotal to the story
it only adds to it's creepiness but the color itself isn't as frightening as the farm and everything glowed with it before it was particularly scary
what is scary is how it is an alien energy vampire with no coherent form that transforms/infects all lifeform and slowly drains them, turns them crazy and kills them
You can make a creepy color by using normal colours and it won't hurt the story almost not at all.
>t. actually read and listened to the story shitton of times and adore it
im still sfraid the movie will suck but for different reasons
n-no..!
i actually daydreamed about how would i make a movie based on thai short story around the time it was announced so i got super hyped
i bet it wont be as good as what i came up with in my mind
>Color Out of Space feels painfully long and, even more so than Mom & Dad, this is an example of a film that loses more than it gains from an unintentionally campy Nic Cage performance. The result is a film that feels like a torturous slog.
There are so many Lovecraft stories that could be good movies. Why the fuck did they do this one
>Richard Stanley
now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time
you didn't watch any of his wacky documentaries?
Mate, adapting this book was a fucking genius choice.
>Joe is a TV addict with a background in Film Studies. He co-created TV/Film Fest blog QueerHorrorMovies and writes for Bloody Disgusting, Anatomy of a Scream, That Shelf, The Spool and Grim Magazine. He enjoys graphic novels, dark beer and plays multiple sports (adequately, never exceptionally). While he loves all horror, if given a choice, Joe always opts for slashers and creature features.
>First comment gives him shit for not proofreading
kek
>While he loves all horror, if given a choice, Joe always opts for slashers and creature features.
Based, creature features are patrician
colour out of space is a lot of people's favorite hpl story, so maybe the same goes for the filmmakers? it's also a single location story, making it relatively easy to make on a limited budget
Make it purple, which is a colour we do see but doesn't actually exist.
What?
That makes no sense, I can be purple so it must exist.
Are you trying to make me look like the fool or something?
