Paranoid Park
Get taste, jesus
I watch Battle at the Berrics
oh please, recommend more jewish garbage for me to watch, since that obviously it what passes for taste to you
Bones Brigade is skateboard documentary kino. Better than Dogtown & Z Boys.
9 Club with CROB
>WELLLLLLL
>he is jewish therefor he is bad
time to go back faggot
Loveletters with grosso
The Skateboard Kid obviously.
ALL THIS MAYHEM
grow up cuck
Grind. Great movie from the early 2000's
Its prolly fucking dogshit, but I loved it as a kid
>no dog
There is not a single good film based in skating.
period.
Skate Kitchen was pretty good

Ken Park
are you being ironic lol you know Korine is Jewish right? typical skate rat with his room temp iq
Skateboard the Movie with Leif Garrett
Underrated. Got a minor amount of press in the indie circles (when indie circles actually existed and weren’t filled with cancerous faggots), but not much.
Are Beautiful Losers and Gleaming the Cube good?
based. what are some james ransone kinos?
I remember liking this years ago, but
just go on youtube and search for rodney mullen
Damn what a qt i might have to watch it
Eat a shotgun barrel, pedo
Like movies about skateboarding or actual skate videos?
Guessing you're asking for actual movies and not skate vids so here are some, both good and bad:
Thrashin
Gleaming the Cube
Kids
Ken Park
Grind
Minding the Gap (documentary)
Paranoid Park
Lords of Dogtown
Not sure if Gummo counts but it has Mark Gonzales wrestling with a chair in it, but by that logic any movie with Jason Lee would also count so I guess not.
Listen faggots. T.I.M.E. Soundtrack for This is My Element skateboarding video is the best thing you'll ever hear/see. For the record Rodney Mullen is the GOAT skateboarder IMO.
I loved gleaming the cube as a kid. Pretty comfy if you lived through that period.
>Rodney Mullen
Always a sure sign when spotting kooks and posers on the interwebs. What is it with Rodney that everyone who doesn't skate like so much?
Damn, any oldfags remember the crazy 90s fad for micro-wheels?
>Mark Anthony "Gator" Rogowski (born August 10, 1966)[3] is an American former professional skateboarder who was convicted of murder. He was mainly prominent in the 1980s and early 1990s. His career ended when he pled guilty for assaulting, raping and murdering Jessica Bergsten in 1992
GNARLY!!!

Name someone better. I'm honestly intrigued and ready to rearrange the crown of greatness.
Yes, the "goofy boy" era.
That reminds me Stoked was pretty good
that's a cute kid!
imagine being over the age of 12 and still using terms like kook and poser
>I can't BELIEVE people talking about skating would bring up the most influential skater of all time!!
what a faggot lmaooo
Damn, you’re talking about the Odd Nosdam album. Love that album but had no idea what it was from.
Why long hair?
Imagine forcing him to dress like a little girl
Skate videos themselves are kino, I haven't skated in a really long time but still watch them because i can still appreciate it.
If anyone here actually skateboards or used to watch Yeah Right or Fully Flared mike mo,eric Norton, marc Johnson, brian Anderson, and Owen Wilson doing a blunt slide on a hand rail.
*Eric Koston
"My bad"
Yes except it wasn't Owen atually doing it but I guess you knew that.
DUDE. That's one of the albums I can listen to from start to finish. IMO it's flawless. I loved the album first before someone told me it was for skateboarding. No More Wig for Ohio have a couple based tracks as well.
Its a good movie but the shower scene is weird and unnecessary.
Minding The Gap
"Everybodies biting my shit right now,you know how that goes"
A part of me wishes it was really was Owen he just fits in with the Girl Skateboard team.
Cool let's call him Eric Norton now
Boy, his name is Eric Froston and I got $20 he can't Hardflip first try.
What a beautiful girl
>cunny
That didn't happen... did it?
Well if this counts than I guess Police Academy 4 and Hook also counts?
nice stealth shota thread op

Paranoid Park
there's plenty of good stories from skateboarding history. pros either going to jail for semi-serious time or dying from drugs, several guys have crashed vehicles while drunk and killed a passenger which resulted in various legal repercussions. one dude in the 80s or 90s murdered a girl, just plenty of all around debauchery that goes on in the skating world. the guy that owned world industries and all its other companies, steve rocco, is a really interesting as well as sketchy guy.
BMX > Skateboarding
youtube.com
Airborne (1993)
both are great, the important thing is rollerbladers and scooter kids are faggots.
Rodney Mullen was a manny god but most people who skate don't really hold silly old school shit in high regard. Crazy primo/casper shit and stuff with your hands is fun but it doesn't make you the best. Not when Guy Mariano exists.
In case you've never seen it
What is it with people trying too hard to be hardcore hating on legends and preferring someone with cuffed pants and pushes super hard to do to no comply a crusty set because they have "soul"
>steve rocco
Speaking of, there's a great documentary about him called The Man Who Souled the World.
>Jennifer Morrison
kino
Not shitting on Rodney at all. The fact that most people who are obsessed with Rodney doesn't skate and aren't really interested in skateboarding. It's just a weird thing that many, not only me, in the skateboarding world has noticed. It has become a running gag almost. I remember the early 00's when the thps games were the shit and everyone at school were talking about Rodney Mullen even though they didn't skate or knew jack shit about it. There must be something with his skating that is easy accessible to the general non skating public or something.
>you'll never spend the day skateboarding with your friends and then watch the sun set on the grassy hill with an arizona in hand ever again
>there must be something with his skating that is easy accessible to the general non skating public or something
It's as simple as him doing shit that looks complicated and flashy
I've noticed the same thing in more modern times with Richie Jackson. Normies are constantly sharing videos of him on facebook etc.
This very specific feel was devastating
I want to go back
I got your skate kino right here.
>dark slides
> 360 flip manuals 360 flip out
>late flips and late catches and late shuvits
>only person to out skate Daewon Song
Yeah he must of sucked
When it comes to skateboarding videos (not actual movies) I really like the Beez trilogy and the Fancy Lad videos because of how relatable they are. It's weird "dorky" skating done by people who are just as good/bad as I am. And they are pretty funny too in an oddball sort of way. It's also pretty cool that DJ Douggpound from Tim & Eric skates for Fancy Lad.
This reminds me of that clip that was really popular on here and other boards where a guy filmed with a VHS camcorder in a gas station in the 80's. Like slice of life time capsule from a much simpler time.
I remember that one, imagine now get a Glock pointed at your head, cops come "you can't record" and shoot you,get robbed for your camera and still get shot.
We failed as a society, not people or race.
What's your best trick user?
I remember before I quit I landed a kickflip off a huge ledge about 5ft. took like 2 hours to land it.
Are you talking about the Disneyland Paris one?
Yeah.
There is this short film revolving around pro skateboarder Jim Greco. It can be a bit uneventful at times, but it's pretty a e s t h e t i c.
youtube.com
I especially like the part when he is in Italy with Tom Penny, and also when he strolls around in L.A.
Was the first skatevids i owned and is unironically one of the best ever
No clue but probably some dorky shit like bs 180 to switch 5050 to fakie bs bigspin out? That was sort of my trademark trick back in the day. Your trick sound much gnarlier than anything I ever dared to try. I was not the jump off a building kind of skater. Too chicken shit.
Yes, exactly. There is another one in the same "genre" too with HD quality film of people just walking in New York in the 80's.
It still holds up as one of the greatest. Especially Andrew Reynolds part and the Heath Kirchart and Jeremy Klein part.
That's pretty good if it was on a ledge, but if it was a curb not so much. Reminds me of a friend who would always 360 flip every set of stairs we would skate.
Both kirchart/klein parts (rob zombie and under pressure) are pure kino to this day
>oof
Those guys are washed up.
Look at Guy Mariano's Pretty Sweet part its the best skating I've seen before Marc Johnson's Fully Flared part.
Goofy boy spotted.
Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol, tony hawk and David spade are some of rhe skateboard kids
Skateboard Kid
Looks like Donovan Strain
>washed up
Heath kirchart is living the dream doing whatever tf he wants. Watch his epicly later’d if you havent already
I'm pretty sure that kid or some other shota from those northern Euro countries does get naked with another kid in some movie and they take a shower together. It's almost erotic.
Almost.
I remember Kirchart he's suicidal and goes out of his way to get killed by doing what ever he's up to.
>Those guys are washed up
The fuck you talking about? Jeremy Klein may be "washed up" but he hasn't really skated since the early 00's. He's probably been too busy visiting japan and jerking off to hentai. Heath is retired but went out with a bang, he was on top til the end of his career. Did you even watch his two final parts in Mindfield and Stay Gold? Andrew still skates and is still the boss by all means. He's still puts out over the top parts. Guy Mariano is of course a fucking legend too.
I was talking about those two, Andrew Reynolds is meh now, Guy is a GOAT.
Yup, a ledge. Down stairs my best trick was probably a tweaked (by mistake) heelflip down a 5 step. Lucky accident really.
Nice,I wish I could still Skate miss those Summer days skating with my bros.
>Andrew Reynolds is meh now
This is bait, isn't it?
But he can't skate handrails, stairs or even ledges on the same level as other pros. He would be the first to admit it himself.
Nani?
There's too many old heads who do better shit every year P-Rod,Chris Cole,or Nyjah Houston.
He's not Rob Dyrdek bad but he's about Eric Kostons level now.
>Heath Kirchart skating to Moz in Mindfield
I bet all the /pol/ kids are getting a hard-on to this part with that neo nazi music. How did Alien Workshop get away with it?
What was the name of the video Thrasher put out on Christmas some years ago? It was basically just a bunch of old guys skating averagely.
>P-Rod
>Nyjah Houston
I rather watch Gino push.
That's why he invented tricks.
He's the godfather of skateboarding,he made just about every trick street skaters do now. Ollie,Kickflip, heelflip, varial flip, and of course 360 flips.
This probably before you were born but Mullen knew he needed to up his game that's why they made those Rodney vs. Daewon skate videos to show he could keep up with modern skateboarding.
>Rob Dyrdek
His part in Memory Screen is GOAT. Hate everything else with him though.
>le epic gino meme
go back to slap, tranny
"Tired"
Either something by Tired Skateboards or Fancy Lad.
>go back to slap, tranny
Go back to youtube watching RadRat or something, kid. Don't forget to drink your energy drinks.
Nigga. The switch god is unmatched.
Whats the deal with skaters? The meme is they're all a bunch of poofters. Do they really do sex shit with each other? Out of boredom?
That's gonna be a yikes from dog.
What's he up to now a days does he still do those TV shows on MTV?
Tim Von Verne and Brian Anderson might.
But B.A. said he likes big guys who work for the CIA.
not even the guy you replied to but the fact you're dismissing great skaters because they're extremely good is childish, but I guess i shouldn't be surprised from some underage retard who can only spout memes.
you can like people like nyjah and popps at the same time, i know it goes against your hivemind, and you can't think for yourself, but you should try it out sometime
For a lost soldier
Holy shit I feel like I've had this conversation with so many kids in fifth grade it's ridiculous. I don't know why Rodney Mullen stans get so ridiculously defensive when you claim he's not the greatest skateboarder ever. It's like some religion and the Best of Rodney Mullen YouTube video is the bible. Talking about how he invented tricks like God created the world.
Yeah that's right. From what I can remember of Tim Von Verne he was more of a twink. Just such a sad story that whole thing with him btw.
You're thinking of rollerbladers.
Yes they are good, I've never said anything else, but their skating is also incredibly boring.
What happened??
Agreed, it's really weird. Especially since most of them aren't really that interested in skating over all.
I still love you.
But its true. He wrote the playbook,we just read it. You can't have vert skating without Tony Hawk and you wouldn't have Street skating without Rodney.
He came out as gay publicly in 98 in an interview in the short lived magazine Heckler (I had that issue). He was about to turn pro on Birdhouse but after the interview Tony Hawk dropped him and he never made it back into the industry because things were very homophobic back then. According to rumours, Tony kicking him off the team wasn't because Tony was homophobic but someone else on the Birdhouse team, someone really good and popular. That skater called up Tony and threatened to leave Birdhouse if Tim wasn't kicked. He didn't wanna be on the same team as a faggot. I can only speculate but my guess is that it was Jeremy Klein. He seems pretty homophobic.
almost as boring as watching some boomer push around the east coast doing nothing but ollies up curbs
>You can't have vert skating without Tony Hawk
What an odd thing to say. You don't know much about skateboarding, that's for certain. Tony was literally just a kid in the old Powell Peralta videos. There were other great pioneers way before him.
Wtf I hate tony hawk now.
I need Sean Malto to come out he's top tier twink.
Don't talk shit about Ricky Oyola
this
The only video I remember from the top of my head with Tim Von Verne was the Transworld video Transmission 7. He was also in some 411 issues too. Don't think he has a full part in any mainstream vid though. No clue if he still skates but I doubt it. Pretty sure that interview and the aftermath scared Brian Anderson into keeping his secret as long as he did. A bit funny thinking about the photos that Ed Templeton took of Brian Anderson looking through a (straight) porno mag. No one suspected anything back then.
>Wtf I hate tony hawk now.
From what I heard about it, Tony was in a tight spot making that decision so I really can't hate him for it.
Did he ever do anything after that injury? I think he recovered around the time I stopped skating.
Still great. Also: Gleaming the Cube.
What are some other great skate vid soundtracks?
youtube.com
Soundtrack as in the music was made only for the video or soundtracks in videos in general? I think Flip - Extremely Sorry had a tailor made soundtrack by some band.
>Gleaming the Cube
youtube.com
Either desu
Well I've always liked skateboarding that goes well with punk such as circle jerks, black flag, misfits etc and alternative rock such as dinosaur jr, sonic youth, pavement, pixies etc but a lot fo movies have a really mixed soundtrack but some of my faves are:
88 - Destroy Everything Now (especially Svitak skating to Mr DNA by Devo.)
Alien Workshop and Habitat - all of their videos
Flip - Sorry
Favorite soundtrack is probably Think - Business As Usual. It has basically only music from artists on Underwater People records. So much great music in that one and it really feel "connected" as whole in the movie with indie/alternative rock/pop music. The music in Minuit is also very fitting and interesting but probably not a genre I would listen to otherwise. It's fusion jazz or something I think.
>Flip - Sorry
One of the best skate movies!! was gonna post this
>Time takes a cigarette
Here comes the nollie flip
