1) The scene isn't glorifying racists or racism, it's just portraying people how they are
2) It's a war film, which means idiots will forgive whatever behavior happens "because that's war!" The only time in history this didn't happen was, ironically, Vietnam, but even the movies made during the era are forgiven by contemporaries viewing them after the fact.
3) Again, this scene isn't glorifying racists or racism. All it's doing is highlighting how people act, and arguably portraying them in a negative light. No one in this story is a Good Guy™.

I think what user is trying to say is that why aren't people complaining about the sheer amount of N-word bombs they drop and all of the other slurs and race jokes they do.
