You're on a board full of people too stupid to comprehend marvel movies this is no time to be insulting others
I don't care that U play vidya but the fact that U said U play Fallout 76 is gonna be a cringe for me
>76
4U
>subtitles on
>there's an unsubtitled background conversation that looks more interesting than the subtitled foreground conversation
>turn on subtitles
>character speaks foreign language
>(Speaking Spanish) (Speaking Latin) etc.
what's the point for these really. Just don't put anything in the first place.
I spend a lot of time around boomers. They'll watch westerns on TV with the volume all the way up and subtitles on. Whenever an Indian or Mexican talks it always says (Speaking in foreign dialect). They can't even go to the trouble of identifying the Spanish-speaking Mexicans, it's just "foreign dialect"
>character are speaking a foreign language
>install "forced" subtitles
>[speaking spanish]
>be Russian
>watch movie in English with Russian subs
>characters says something in Russian
>it's not subbed
>accent is so terrible you can't understand shit
Keanu spoke it pretty well in John Wick, other actors - not so good
Newsflash, kid: deaf people watch movies with subtitles. It's relevant for them that the characters moving their lips and speaking aren't actually saying anything relevant.
What you are referring to are "closed captions." They are similar, but not the same as subtitles.
All the Russian characters say in those movies is some variation "BABA YAGA" so there's not much you're missing.
>turn subs on
>everything is subtitled, to the point of being distracting
>don't download subs because i speak the same language
>still can't understand fucking anything
DEEZKIDZ ROLLAN
SALLICANTHANKABOU'
>action scene
>[Gunshots] keeps interrupting the subtitles for the ongoing dialogue
>character explaining something
>[Explosion] and [Intense gunfire] keeps appearing
>[Distant screaming]
There's on such hting as a "tunr on closed captions" function in movies or TV, user. You turn on subtitles and that adds closed captions too. You can't have just one of them and both are necessary for deaf people.
What you said doesn't affect my point at all, you're just being pedantic for no reason.

My friends all made fun of me for not understanding Hayes in True Detective so I made them watch the first episode with me. Even my black friend was at a loss half the time. What's worse is Marshala Ali is very easy to understand in all his other roles.
what about blind people huh?
>turn subtitles on
>"Bane?"
