They did and apparently in this reality it's true she never had braces, unless there is some vast conspiracy to cover it up. The funny thing is though of all the "mandela effect" stuff this is the one that gets me. I remember my grandfather was a big 007 fan and we watched all the movies, and Moonraker was one of my faves because of my bias for sci-fi/lasers and I distinctly remember her having braces and talking about that scene with my grandpa.

Without the braces the scene makes no sense. The whole point of her smiling like that is to suddenly reveal the braces, making a joke how she as well has steel in her mouth like Jaws. I remember laughing with my family after that smile reveals the braces
