the gay couple and native ritual is in the book mongo
>stephen king talks to his mary sue self insert character about his endings sucking
>no tim curry cameo
let me guess, this scene is also not in the movie
youtube.com
No
They also completely cut out his girlfriend and the bike ride
This, one of the fags falls down into a river and IT crushes his ribs
Tim Curry is confined to a wheelchair, dude. He probably didn’t want to
There will never be a proper Stephen King adaptation. The fucker is too wacky and his books are too long.
>There will never be a proper Stephen King adaptation.
The Stand miniseries followed the book pretty well.
Looking forward to the remake of it.
>opening previews for the film
>trailer for THE SHINING remake
>NOPE
That's true it wasn't bad considering when it was made.
>IT says HERE'S JOHNNY!
It cut the ending when Flagg comes back and starts fucking with rainforest people though.
It's a sequel not a remake.
Everything except for the Penywise makeup and costume is better in the orig.
Carrie, Misery, Stand by Me, Green Mile, and Shawshank are all good
the original is corny as fuck but I think that's part of what makes the Losers bonding work way better
>It cut the ending when Flagg comes back and starts fucking with rainforest people though.
Oh him waking up on a beach in the middle of nowhere?
Pointless to the overall plot. I can see why they left it out.
>That's true it wasn't bad considering when it was made.
Yeah I think the series isn't considered that good because most people don't want to read such a long book.
With the exception of the doge and who got molly ringwald preggers, it followed the overall plot pretty well.
SSSPPPPAACCE!
literally all of that was in the book
Anyone else just fucking hate faggots? Why the fuck do they have to exist? They ruin everything.
Pennywise thought so.
that was a kino cameo, and so was the John Carpenter reference
Was the jew suicide on purpose in the books as it was in the film, or was Stanley actually canonically a coward?
>shining
>sequel
does NOT look good

retard
on the off chance that you actually are straight and not a closetfag homophobe, you should be glad fags exist as you don't have to compete with them for women.
The gay carnival death scene literally is at the start of the book after the Georgie death scene.
was he /our clown/? or is pennywise just a vague standin for trump's america, devouring helpless children and persecuting homosexuals?
Except fags are pathetic so it wouldn't be much of a contest in the first place you fucking retard.
if I remember correctly in the book most of the Losers agree that Stanley wasn't really responsible for his suicide, as the lingering memory of It was just too powerful. in the new movie they get all get a letter from him at the end where he says that he knew he just couldn't face coming back to Derry, but that they would all need to be together in order to defeat It, so he decided the only logical decision would be to kill himself so that way no one alive would be missing from the group. it's not the best logic but it's far from the worst writing in this sequel
if IT was an 8-10 part HBO mini series, it wouldve been done perfect justice. bowers blowjob scenes, hockstetter flying leeches, pennywise approaching silver-eyed on the frozen pond as the balloons blow against the wind, giant bird, drowned water tower corpses, all of the historical scenes 27 years apart.. could be fucking k i n o
>Except fags are pathetic so it wouldn't be much of a contest
lol you clearly don't go to the gym do you
the last HBO mini series with Ransone was pretty kino
dude I've been saying this same shit (although the sewer orgy should never ever be adapted by anyone lol). what makes this even more painful is the fact that Warner Bros. and HBO are both owned by the same parent company and Cary Fukunaga (guy who did the 1st season of True Detective) was originally attached to direct. it would have been so fucking easy for this to be a gritty HBO miniseries that wasn't trying to make the audience laugh every 30 seconds but they went the money route unfortunately.
You gonna suck me off there? Yeah bet you'd like that faggot. fucking faggot.
jesus christ you're amusing. and nope, I actually have dignity and respect for myself. that being said, if I did go to the gym specifically to have sex with guys it wouldn't be with you, as it sounds like you've never set foot in one once in your life. but don't worry, if you right him a whiny enough letter i'm sure Jordan Peterson will buy you a mail-order bride someday
>everyone that hates fags is a fag meme
lmao shit never gets old
>ancient cosmic creature
>isn't even tangible in our universe, the clown is just a projection
>real form is something beyond human imagination
>get defeated
How the fuck is that even possible?
literal meme magic. the magic that he uses is a souble edged sword
there's a difference between anons who don't like gay shit being shoved in their faces all the time and anons who go out of their way to declare how much they hate gay shit and how straight they are. the former is understandable, meanwhile the latter has actual scientific studies linking that behavior and mindset to homosexual urges & attraction. this user was upset that a movie had 2 gay characters in it for 5 minutes (despite it being a direct adaptation of the source material) and when confronted with this fact he just started whining about the fact that gay people exist. the vast majority of straight guys I've ever known could care less about gay people existing so yeah I'm gonna go ahead and say OP is the biggest faggot in this thread
it's hilarious dude, they literally come up with a plan to trap him in a tunnel so they can have a chance at killing it in a smaller form, and when that plan fails they decide to make it smaller...with words. they even announce this in front of it and it somehow takes the bait with almost no protest.
the vast majority of straight guys you know are most likely bisexual liberal arts faggots, so i wouldn't take your word for it pozzed boy.
gotta love how your response to his implication that you're gay is to immediately come up with a fantasy where he sucks you off. keep flying that straight flag bro
>that The Thing reference
cope harder
the amount of projection you're able to fit into one sentence is staggering, I'm in awe desu
Sophia Lillis makes this version better by default.
>you hate gays! haha guess you're gay!
>oh you insulted bisexual lib arts majors! haha guess you're one!
what is wrong with fags? is their whole existence just
>no u
?
not so fast
I just hated how a lot of things were glossed over or were overall insignificant
>little girl wth the birthmark gets eaten
Could've taken her out entirely and nothing would change.
>boy gets devoured at the carnival
No follow up besides Bill getting upset with rage
>Bowers' entire role
Excluding his fucking zombie chauffer, but he died so quickly, made me wonder what his point was
>The Stand
Holy shit and now I remember what The Strain tried to rip off. I knew that show reminded me of something.
Also forgot to mention the random bullies and surviving gay guy. No follow ups or anything
nah, it's the speed in which you attribute every gay stereotype in the book what I say. you're coming off as extremely defensive and aggressive because of one single "ahaha maybe you're gay!" post. you sound like an absolute moron
The book was okay, but it looks like it's going to have some major issues by trying to be a sequel to the book but also the movie.
Her scenes were the best the entire movie.
How insecure are you to get upset by this shit
So wait Pennywise kills homos and he is the bad guy?
so...yes?
/thread. OP confirmed as a zoomer retard.
I asked a QT3.14 redhead tomboy out and she's meeting me tomorrow to see this.
Wish me luck, lads.
I don't remember that
What was it?
the gay guys and bullies aren't significant in the book at all, they end up being questioned by police but that's about it. lots of anons ITT clearly have not read the source material but that's ok, the film's pretty bad anyway.
the one thing I really, really would have loved to see in this film (and would have worked especially great if this were a full miniseries) is all of the investigating that Mike Hanlon does about the town's history and past killing sprees/tragedies. those segments were by far the creepiest and most interesting parts from the book.
Dragonball Z is better
>he didn't read the book
Yes I hate them too. They are secret child molester and love to kill and rape. They need to be exterminated
turns out OP is extremely insecure
I'm not OP lol.
>the gay couple and native ritual is in the book mongo
That doesn't automatically mean it's good
You fucking dumb nigger
Nobody likes faggots nor a bunch of "Muh land first!!!" People or if you even want to call them that, I don't want to call those mudblood niggers a people because they are savages that deserved everything they got when our ancestors came to this land and purged them off of it.
They are a subhuman race and deserve everything they got
Fuck faggots being in movies
Fuck Niggers
Fuck Spics
Fuck Faggots
Fuck Trannys
And FUCK the Mods
sorry, hard to tell when you're a bigger faggot than actual gays
>fags are good
>if you don't think so you are a fag
So being a fag is an insult? Why is that if it is good you hypocrite? Being a homo is not natural, that’s why they all die of AIDS and cancer, and they also molest children because they are clinical paychopaths
Spider head and You gotta be fucking kidding line.
BASED
>Muh land first!!!
???
>you're a bigger faggot than gays because you don't like faggots
lol this is your mind on HIV
ah
I was taking an emergency piss break during part of that scene
shut the fuck up faggot and kill yourself
I secretly suck dick on Grindr but I can't stand being forced to watch this faggot shit
HBO hasn't been good in fucking years and their adaptations are never 100% book accurate.
I couldn’t agree more OP, all homosexuals should kill themselves for the good of society
>implying any king book is any good at all
So the clown has a heart?
What about the light globes?
I think what they were going for is that since he assumes a physical form, he has to follow physical/natural laws.
Not to say that it's a good explanation.
it's so much adapting the books 100% as it is the TV episode format just works much better for the type of story It is. they'd be able to devote each episode to a specific character and have a lot more wiggle room for character development. I think It would be much more effectively scary with slower, focused pacing and the films which try to cram as much stuff in as possible to pretty abysmal effect.
is there a camrip for this film yet
Am I the only one who noticed that they clearly did something to Eddie's face in the flashback scenes to make it look like the actor hadn't started puberty? it was extremely jarring
>Constantly calls Ben a fatty
>Never calls Richie a faggot
Weak
>native ritual is in the book
Wait what? I thought that was Maturin's ritual.
Why it keep assuming a clown form over and over?
Pennywise was a real person?
Why it keep playing stupid mind games with the group?
>million years extra dimension multi form mind bending, reality control being
>unable to kill a bunch of kids
Makes sense.
Emily Perkins as Beverly Marsh is still my favorite.
It also helps that I developed a crush on her after watching Ginger Snaps and is the main reason I have a thing for goth girls.
I don't really care for the boyish redhead that they're currently using to portray the character.
The answer to your questions is Stephen King is a fucking hack.
I hope you guys have a good time.
The miniseries, for all that I like it (It has TWO of my waifus in it) is complete crap other then Curry is decent.
Both the It movies are good movies, perhaps not good Horror films (the first is really a goonies style adventure that R rated, and the 2nd is a horror comedy) but are good films.
This. Also never realised they were the same actress
>IT dies by them chanting clown at it
>Stan's suicide was noble
>Loser's all remember each other in the end
It was a 7/10 up till that point, then it dropped to like a 4/10. Was this some extreme meta move in how they kept making fun of King's endings sucking, so they took one of his few good endings and ruined it?
neither adaptation is particularly good but the 1990 one was much more effective imo, they didn't have today's CGI to rely on so the scares were a lot more psychological. it also wasn't trying to be a literal laugh-riot unlike the the new adaptation, although Curry's Pennywise definitely had some good bantz lol
Thank you, user!
Tactical suicide was dumb as fuck. Especially since Eddie had the same crisis and they just told him he had to man up and come with them because they need him.
holy based
>an entire 10 minute sequence that is just a "the thing" reference
I disagree
The miniseries is just a mess, in only thought of well since
1) it was many anons first scary show/movie since it was on TV
2) Curry was good
3) the kids were okay.
The current movies are fine movies, you might not like the choices they made (for example, too much humor in the 2nd film) but they actually work as films, the 2nd epsisode of the miniseries is a trainwreck.
pretty much.
I really hoped that shot of the sewer being flooded in the trailer was a sign that they were gonna do the book ending of Derry getting demolished but nope.
At least it was cool and provided a situation to develop Eddie's character. There were more useless segments in the movie.
This would be fine if it wasn't already established two minutes ago that he could kill them with a single swoop of his claws. Pennywise had no reason to just stand there listening to their bullshit, he could've killed all of them the moment he noticed his plan went south.
idk about all that. Curry was definitely the superior Pennywise, but overall I did like the acting better in the new movies, I just felt that the writing was way too all over the place. I also think it's silly to put Chapter Two above Part 2 in the miniseries seeing as the Losers actually FIGHT It in the first adaptation, unlike this new one where they just run around in circles and then bully it to death.
This is what I liked about the first one. They were screaming at him, but it didn't magically stop him from being able to claw their faces off. They still had to physically attack him and all their bravery did was make their physical attacks effective on him.
Which is where they started going, with Eddie throwing the spear. But then they just threw that idea aside.
I know man, it was so fucking stupid and took away any tension/terror that could have been felt during the final sequence. they also had Eddie do the classic "I just saved you and am now standing in a way that would make it very easy for me to be killed right now" move so even his death felt botched.
I was actually okay with the rule they set up, that Pennywise had to attain to the physical forms he takes, so if he looks like an old woman, he's as weak as an old woman.
But then he just stands there doing nothing in his giant spider form, while they scream "we're not afraid!". It was specially bad since they tried this numerous times before and it never worked.
>>boy gets devoured at the carnival
Do they actually show it?
It shows Pennywise dive on him then a massive splash of blood that coats the mirrors.
Pennywise jumps at him and the glass gets covered in blood.
sorta yes
You morons should be glad they put the opening scene in. I'm not baiting, I'm gay and it was revolting.
It was also pointless to the entire movie, because it doesn't bother explaining that It's influence is affecting the town and the surviving characters are never seen again.
King is a fucking hack. He took a real homophobic murder and put it into his book for shock value, the very definition of exploiting, and oh of course it was the bad monster's fault all along.
Now you can proceed by calling me faggot, thanks.
Me neither. I went back and watched the TV series and realized years later that the girl who kickstarted my love for goth girls was also the little girl who played Beverly Marsh. My mind was fucking blown.
I would have been happier if they were throwing a rock each time they shouted at it, as it would be a callback to the rockfight on the river.
What was even the point of the little girl? Doesn't Pennywise feeds on fear? Why he eats some random girl when she's not even scared of him in the first place? All the other people he kills actually affect someone nearby or the main characters, so it fits with the narrative that he's doing it to fuck up their heads, but no one knew that girl.
Especially since Mike brought one of the fucking rocks with him. It's so simple that I'm staggered they didn't think to do it.
The fortune cookie creatures and the old woman monster that comes after Beverley look like they came straight out of Bloodborne.
Fear makes the meat taste better, but at the end of the day meat is meat, which is what he needs.
Wasn't she the one the gay guy gave the doll to at the carnival?
Seems logical that would be his next target by domino effect.
sorry but all you fags got baited hard
It's quite funny that they kept joking about Bill not being to write an ending when they made a worse ending than the book
Haven't read the book. Are you saying It's influence has gotten stronger in the town since it was last defeated, or are you just referring to the general state of the town? Cause I really like the idea of the setting in which generations upon generations of mental and emotional trauma caused by It have basically built up to a community full of psychopaths raising psychopaths. Not only is the idea of a community warped by being terrified of something they don't even understand interesting, but it allows the setting to get away with "normal" people acting in ways that would be completely unrealistic and exaggerated in any other setting. Regardless, I wouldn't think that the people there are not responsible for their own evil actions just because they were influenced by their environment to be that way.
Faggot
>Richie hits It with a rock
>doesn't yell ROCK WAR
so close, yet so far
Did Pennywise hate gays because they didn't make children for him to eat?
John Ritter was legitimately good and Night Court guy was decent but all the other adults were just awful
i wish i had a zombie driving me around in a firebird
I mean like shit you fags all got doubled baited
>ywn clean the blood off her face
That's why he ate the little girl because the gays picked her to have the doll like a surrogate daughter to them as fathers.
So Pennywise was down with the gay and ate away at the little girl.
There's no point in Bowers in this film. He stabs Eddie in the cheek and that's about it. Why didn't he put Mike in the hospital like he's supposed to?
Based
I will give credit to Ritter, he was the best adult outside of Curry.
Of course I love it since it has Annette O'Toole right before she went into her Milf phase, but her acting like the other adults was awful. The kids acting wasn't good, but we accept bad acting from kids since they are kids.
How accurate to the book where the kids dying? Based on the first part I kind of assumed It needed to actually lure its victims near a sewer or drain to effectively finish them off but in this one it kinda seemed like he was cheating by running free in funhouses and baseball fields.
Because they set up the entire movie for Mike to do the ritual in the confrontation with Pennywise.
In the book IT killed the children in many different places, though they were typically somewhere relatively close to the canal or sewers.
she looks like an ape
Fucking exactly.
Granted she did say he was scary looking, so that probably triggered his choice to kill her. But it was inconsequential to the entire movie. The main cast never interacted wth her, and you never see her shitty mother react to it afterwards
You look like an ape.
That's a very unflattering dress.
He almost kills mike. Also the stabbing was kino as someone who actually seen someone stabbed in real life it was actually damn realistic when Eddie was stabbed.
In all seriousness, Mike being at the final battle makes for a better ending then the book.
Supposedly IT influences people by making them more violent and also making them ignore the mass casualties that happen every thirty year or so, which of course is a ridicolous cop-out by King so that he can write about all kinds of delirious shit like people getting maimed in the streets by a monster clown without anyone noticing. Basically all of the murders in the movie are glossed over.
This influence just happens when IT is going around killing people, so it's not like you said, which would arguably be better.
Was that office Bill was in at the end the same room from the end of Stand by Me? They looked really similar and had the same setup with a character writing about their childhood friends.
>zombie chauffer
What? Sounds lines the premise to a shitty dark comedy movie
Bower's goon Heckstetter comes back as a zombie and gives him a knife to escape the mental ward.
When Bowers escapes, Hockstetter is at the wheel of their blue car from the first movie then drives them off for a good time to murder.
Is the kid on the left the guy Leonardo DiCaprio had killed because he was a better actor than him?
youtube.com
Not even remotely the same.
This legit happens and then is never referenced again. I think it was supposed to be funny, which is even more stupid.
It's in the book faggot
Damn. I knew there were obvious cases of it influencing people like it did Henry, or altering people's perception specifically during attacks but using it so broadly does kinda feel like a cop out that's not even necessary.
How Pennywise even does that? I thought his powers were limited to the town.
No, even in the book he has powers outside of the town. Pennywise shows up as a clown with a dobermin pincher head to kill the guard to allow bowers out. (In the book)
his powers are town sized, but he can leave if he wants, I THINK. In the miniseries he straight up just busts Bowers out and kills a guard
You are a sad sad little man and you have my pity
He does that in the book as well.
No dummy, they came out before the movie and said that for those reasons exactly.
That's exactly what I thought,it would have been a perfect line
>No follow up besides Bill getting upset with rage
This bothered me. It was a cool scene, but ultimately pointless in nearly every way. In terms of Bills character it wasn't a success so it didn't redeem him for not being there for Gerogie but at the same time the failure didn't serve as a lesson for him either because this time he was there and trying his hardest to protect the kid. In terms of plot, running off alone didn't end up putting Bill or the rest of the main cast in any danger. It did cause him to recklessly go ahead alone which could have been a significant plot point if they hadn't caught up to him and all gone in together as they had planned in the first place.
I don't get why people get so triggered by gays.
My girlfriend and I just find them amusing. There's enough proof out there to suggest that anyone who deeply hates gays is just closeted themselves.
Great part of the book is when IT influences the town two shoot up this Delinger type bank robbers
So why he never went after the losers after he comes back in the new cycle?
Because a small part of IT did fear them, and wanted to play it safe. It was safer to send a crazed Bowers after them than to risk going itself.
Based, it’s also how found out I’m part spider.
He summons bowers and influences Bev asshole husband after they arrive to kill them. Till they show up he more then happy eating kids and queers.
Why bother? they left and forgot, so he had the whole town to Itself. In the miniseries he's activley trying to get them to LEAVE after Mike gathers them, not like in the new one
Isn't it also somewhat implied in the books that his influence helped make them successful so they'd have no reason to return to Derry? Or is that just theory?
Pennywise's powers are not defined at all. He is supposed to be a shapeshifter but his main power is using illusions to trick and manipulate others, he can control your every sense and can use these illusions on a very large scale by virtue of being pretty much omnipresent. He often displays the ability to be in two places at the same time. At any time he could attack you without any warning.
His only real weakness is the tendency to toy with his victims (excluding of course the power of friendship), but only the main cast ever escapes his murder attempts while others get devoured almost immeditately.
King tries to justify this by saying that the protagonists are blessed by the power of a space turtle. It baffles me that people think he is a decent writer.
I think ultimately my biggest complaint with the movie is how it treats The Loser's relationship with each other. In the book they all love and care about each other implicitly, and never fight about anything. They all mention how they would die for Bill and each other. But in the movie they:
>Constantly fight
>Want to abandon each other
>Mike lies to them
It just ruins they're dynamic and the whole point of the story.
It's implied that their success is related to IT in someway. So yes it's a theory but one that makes perfect sense.
I really love the buildup to the first big confrontation with It too. If I remember it right, it's this miserably hot and humid summer day and It has basically influenced everyone in the town to just sort of stay in their houses and ignore Bowers and the rest of his gang chasing the Losers through the streets.
Yeah but it's real quick. The kid had fair warning so it's entirely his fault for not moving his entire family out of town that night
Oh, so Bev husband was under influence? This kinda explains why there are so many assholes in the plot, but the movie never really goes into that.
In this movie Pennywise specifically says he wants to kill them and was hungering for them during all that time.
>Oh, so Bev husband was under influence?
Not initially, he was just an asshole. But once he followed her to Derry then IT definitely pushed him further.
I liked part 2 but a lot of the scares came off as being more funny than scary. Also I didn’t seem like they went into as much detail about what It was.
2017 had a better part 1
1990 had a better part 2
You can't deny this
It seemed like a little much to have Bill laughing and calling him a fucking retard in that scene though
Yeah, nah.
Both the newer ones were better.
Anyone have a link to chapter 2 ?
BASED. Yea Forums fags are too retarded to understand
>John Carpenter reference
which was? enlighten me, please
What? I thought it was a suicide. You telling me this was an assassination?
He not a asshole when he beats bev,
In the novel he beats up bevs friend, finds out she going to Derry, and once he gets there he uses tom to get audra (bills wife) and then eats Tom IIRC
Yeah, and it was definitely kind of harsh when Bill started teasing the kid and drawing dicks on the glass when Pennywise was headbutting the other glass wall
>He not a asshole when he beats bev,
*he not under it influence. He a huge asshole.
Time for me to go to bed.
>He not a asshole when he beats bev,
So you think assaulting your wife for having a phone conversation is normal?
Spare link anyone ?
The Stan Head scene becomes a reference to "The Thing"
>reading books
Have sex, nerd.
see I saw a 11pm showing last night, and worked from 8am to 9pm today (was called in on my day off) so I am dead tired.
>some gay native american ritual is added
The indian ritual is hilarious because it turns out to be pure bullshit and doesn't work.
>flamboyant faggot in a pink shirt
>leans in close to a little girl
>whispers into her ear
>a chad beats the living shit out of him for being a faggot
This is an objectively good thing. The only thing wrong with that scene is the part where the faggot tells the other faggot "I don't care where we go as long as you're with me" or something. Faggots have precisely no capacity for committed relationships. They're not "normal" people that just "swing the other way". They're legitimately mental deviants that are abnormal in their promiscuity to the extent of being a literal bioweapon within their communities. Anyone can look up the data and research and find out exactly why STDs are so devastating to these degenerates. It's because they can't quit hard drugs and they all sleep with hundreds of other, complete stranger faggots in their lifetimes. They are not good, healthy, moral, or normal beings. Simple fact.
anons, should I be worried that this dog is here for the 2nd viewing, or should this be not scary at all?
Is it wearing a "I
Well shit it does. If it does anythign I will just scream clown at it.
Not only does it not work but it got the entire group of Natives that tried it killed horribly in the process and Mike decided to leave that part out, really made him seem like a complete asshole to be honest. The gang almost never gets a good glimpse of them being friends again outside of like two minutes at the chinese restaurant the entire rest of the time they're bickering or split apart
>being this triggered because a gay guy gave a little girl an arcade prize
you sound delusional. last time I checked gay guys aren't exactly known for molesting little girls
I hope they do have some real things going on in the theatre, like when they released red balloons in the theatre during the first one.
Reference? More like ripoff.
There are two rituals in the book that are used in Native American plot in the movie.
As children, the losers club fill the club house with smoke and hallucinate to see when IT arrives to earth.
The second is the ritual of Chud which IIRC they read about and get from native americans too
He isn't really killed it beaten.
He's (mostly) banished from our world. Pennywise exists on multiple dimensions and after his defeat won't hold the same level of power or sway on our dimension to the same extent ever again.
I suppose you could call that a defeat. But he remains unbeaten
No, he's confirmed dead.
Yes, they were.
Yes, it is.
Fuck you're stupid.
In your shitty movie maybe
>The original is better. Just admit it
You mean the book by Stephen King?
globohomo
Its amazing that an effeminate milquetoast liberal psychologist is so threatening to you
B.A.S.E.D.
You newfags realize Pennywise is a female, right?
>gay couple beaten to a pulp
>eaten by It
>no forced "haha, homophobes get killed by villain" scene
How exactly is any of this wrong?
Can someone post a cam corder shot of the IT final form monster? Always wondered what a modern version would look like
Don't get your hopes up. It was cool, but not very unusual. Pretty much just a giant version of the clown form with spider legs.
you can tell these two actors hated each other
test
>the gay couple and native ritual is in the book mongo
There's also a scene in the book where Bevy is spying on the bully and another weird kid hanging out in the junkyard with their pants down, lighting their farts on fire. Then the weird kid starts jerking off the bully, until he tells him to stop.
There's a lot that should be cut out of the book.
>that scene
>cut
Nah. That precedes the best scene in the book.
>Nah. That precedes the best scene in the book.
The insect bird swarm? Yeah, that's the best, scariest scene in the book.
The grandma scenes were funny as fuck. Everyone in my theater laughed.
Eh, they arent scary. But they arent funny either. Only retards laughed in the theater.
The scenes when the grandma suddenly walks fast behind the girl were hilarious. Like what the fuck were they thinking.
based and redpilled
You absolutely need to have sex as soon as possible.
Ok this comes from someone who never read the book, but I found quite stupid that them as adults suffered from PTSD when as kids in the end they beat the shit out it with relative easyness.
It's to show that Flagg is essentially unkillable because an evil god has his back and that all you do is send him off to another world in the multiverse if you do manage to "kill" him. Makes the victory of the protags seem not as tangible.
come on dude the clown was literally trolling her, movies like these should never take themselves too seriously
>Was the jew suicide on purpose in the books as it was in the film, or was Stanley actually canonically a coward?
Stanley in the books was the most logical, the most inclined to reason. Even when they were kids the events unfolding with all that surreal shit affected him differently to the others. I think one of the other characters references/notices this fraying at the seams Stan had as his mind refused to process what was really going on, and they had to literally shake him back to sense. Basically, it's not surprising that he, out of all of them, snapped and offed himself rather than go through that shit again.
So, cowardly I suppose.
sounds like that shitty movie "sometimes they come back"
He's talking about the "death by a thousand leeches" on the psychopathic homo kid.
even the IT part 1 was hilarious. the flooded basement charge scene, beheaded burnt corpse chase and disgusting hobo scenes were all hilarious
post beverly
specifically the scene with ben in 2
IT is about sex.
When you are a kid you say things like
>they are doing it
>I'm gonna do it
>I heard they did it
And so on. It is sex, and it is a scary secret hidden world, that occupies your mind more and more - draws you in but frightens you.
That's why the kid portion of all mediums makes the most sense. Kids are at the cusp of that life. The child orgy makes sense because after they have beaten Pennywise they need to enter the world of adults to truly beat it.
As adults, sex occupies a different reality. And this is where Stephen King dropped the ball on his own story.
Sex becomes something you fear you are leaving, or you are in bad relationships, or something else that scares us as adults in regards to sex.
But King barely scratches that surface (Bev goes from abusive to abusive relationships - none of the Loser's club have kids of their own).
This is why pt 2 or the adult story falls apart.
