I mean it's not BAD per se, it's just that the meatheads arc was a heavy blow to what was already a mediocre plot.

The only major problem I had with it was Dustin suddenly acting like a brainlet. Other than that even El's arc I didn't hate. That one episode was poorly done and placed in a terrible spot in the season but I got what they were trying to do with it, El had to run away and experience different things to realize that all the stuff back home was what was actually important, kind of cliched and not done well, but I get it.
But even if it was terrible I'd still watch anyway for El. Best girl, best character. Always

I watched the first season which I thought was a lot of fun. Gave up a few episodes in to the second season because it was clear it had turned to garbage.
My wife told me to tune into the third season cause it was good, lasted about 20mins into the first episode. Absolute dog shit television.

No, first is the best. Season 2 was pretty terrible, season 3 was better but still incredibly disappointing. I only watch it for the characters really, the actual story-telling and sci-fi/horror concepts are incredibly weak after the first few episodes

Season 2 is the best season but has the worst episode of the show.
Nothing in the show reaches the heights of the Dustin & Steve team up in S2, and Steve defending the kids in the bus is pure kino. The escape from the building with all the demidogs is great too. Also the mostly evil step brother is a great addition to the show here, too bad he gets shafted as a mind controlled bad guy for the third season because they could have given him better story and layers.
