Puzzo died so they couldn't make the fourth one

I'm not sure I understand the premise of your question. What went so wrong in the best part of the installment by a huge margin?

Huge time jump compared to Godfather 1-2. Characters like Tom are gone, replaced with director's daughter. Lots of bad acting, pretty boring plot.

No Duvall /thread

the same thing that's inherent with every bad film. bad writing

cute bait

No I'm serious. III was the best part by far. At least it had the gnocchi scene in it. It had the "Hanno ammazzato compare Turiddu" scene. All of the Vatican scenes were kino. The confession scene was kino.

I stand by my words.

What redeeming qualities does the second or, worse, the first part have?

>Coppella wouldn't pay Duvall the same as Pacino despite them effectively co-starring in the movie so Duvall told him to shove it and the movie had to be heavily rewritten
>Coppella's first choice for Mary dropped out right before shooting and his only option on short notice was his daughter

>soap opera lighting
>soap opera acting
>soap opera writing
It's like a parody of the godfather

This story was over at the end of Part II but Coppola came back because he needed the money, so even if it were good it would have a sense of falseness and pointlessness to it.

>What went SO wrong?

Director went full-on nepotism and cast his untalented daughter in his movie.

>soap opera lighting
>soap opera acting
>soap opera writing
What do you even mean by that?

Everybody always rags on Coppola's daughter and her non-acting but even more egregious is Andy Garcia playing the equivalent of Poochie from The Simpsons

Sonny's bastard son is one radical dude!

>sofia coppola
>untalented
Guess The Beguiled and The Bling Ring are considered shit on this incel copeboard

>no atmospheric lighting the complements the themes (which the godfather is famous for). Instead bright washed out shit
>wooden performances all around, with some awful exaggerated reactions
>very poor dialogue that moves plot forward but doesn't have any subtext

The helicopter scene.

No tom hagen, everything in the american scenes looked cheap, bad directing, sofia coppola.

No James Caan.

James Caan was the heart and soul of those movies.

>Andy Garcia
he felt so out of place

Al Pacino playing Al Pacino instead of Michael Corleone

Untalented in acting, retard.

No one saw the bling ring

It insists upon itself.

Here's a (you)

Duvall didn't want to act in it because he wasn't going to get as much money as Pacino.

Sophia Coppola was a shit actress. The whole cousin-romance thing between her and the pedo wop was really badly done and Michael looked sensible trying to stop them from getting together. The Pope/Immobiliare storyline was confusing

It's DUNK!

Look at this cock sucking faggot piece of shit encouraging the degradation of Yea Forums

He said he would have done it if pacino was getting 2-3 times what he was getting but he was getting 5 times what they offered duvall, that's a slap in the face and understandable.

It was ok, first one was a 9 second a 8 and this was a 6.5

It’s unironically my favorite, more cohesive than the first two.

Helicopters.
