>that slapstick oh no I'm being shot augghh falling over
Wow, so this is The Sopranos I've heard so much about?

there has never been a good television series, let alone one on par with even average kinos

unironically far more realistic than the one shot kill and fall silently of most movies. people getting shot irl is often creepily goofy

What about Dekalog

miniseries. not real television.

Attached: Double Triggers.jpg (1919x775, 129K)

Attached: Digits.jpg (325x273, 71K)

Miniseries are tv series

Attached: 500px-Saiga12FireflyVera.jpg (500x234, 51K)

Attached: 400px-Saiga12Showtime.jpg (400x329, 71K)

miniseries are entirely planned out in their entirety before being shot. they are essentially films with longer running times. TV series are written and shot on the fly and are obligated to keep ratings up to remain on air.

Maybe in the US, which is why so much US tv is shit and ends poorly. You're cucked by guilds and unions in jewywood.

>Posts Nemesis

>doesnt post fuckinghell HANDHELD M2HB Browning 50 cal heavy machinegun!

Attached: Nemesis.jpg (1280x1440, 496K)

Can anybody explain this to me: Tango has a small snubnose revolver for EDC and large semiauto pistol as backup weapon - and it doesnt make sense. Cash is opposite - he carries large revolver with huge lasersight and small Walther as backup.

Is there a subtle joke in it? Like Cash compensate something with big gun (and Tango doesnt need to). AKA dick measuring contest joke?

Attached: Tango&Cash.jpg (3804x1588, 1.08M)

for reference, an M2 .50 cal firing in an open space is about 160db. Your ear drums burst at 170db and you fucking die at 200db. Even if they had earplugs in (instead of over-ear+plugs) they would still have significant hearing loss or deafness firing something like indoors. I don't think there are any movies that get gun noise correct, especially not suppressors. Still, a mobile M2 is cool as fuck

Fucking brilliant

Scarface's M16

Attached: 09f85e94f7f748b2b7f6ae78142ae24f.jpg (355x400, 35K)

Of course they were blank rounds, and I dont know how loud are the blank loads (and they can be customized by moviemakers).

You might be overthinking it son

Tango has shit taste in guns and Cash watches too many movies.

I love any firearms that dates from the end of Old West up until before World War 2 like :
>Revolver
Colt New Service
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Colt Official Police
Smith & Wesson M27 (Magnum)
>Pistol
Colt M1903
Colt M1911/Government
>Submachine Gun
Thompson M1928/Chicago Typewriter
>Rifle
Springfield M1903 Rifle
Remington Model 8/81
>Shotgun
Winchester Shotgun M1912
Ithaca 37
Browning Auto 5
>Light Machine Gun
Colt M1918 BAR/Monitor

Any movies from that era might do good for me.

>BAR
Highwaymen
Bonnie and Clyde (2013) tv series
Public Enemies
Untouchables

Tommy guns with drum magazines were cool looking.

Do you have a webm of it in action? Something about the upper receiver bothers me

you might want to check out Miller's Crossing
youtube.com/watch?v=vgz-CKRzs-4

The electronic pack on the top is supposed to be a ghetto airburst setup which is kind of cool. Who knows how they got explosive airburst 7.62 ammo, but the concept is pretty cyberpunk even if it doesn't really make sense

Don't mind me, just being the best gun ever.

Attached: m1 ping ping ping.png.gif (636x345, 1.38M)

When Nemesis was being filmed, one of the action sequences was filmed at some former industrial site that was being demolished.
As part of the demolishing, a tower was being knocked down, I believe with explosives.
I believe the director or producer set one of the scenes around the demolision of the tower.
It’s likely one of the reasons a former French Naval Commando was hired to star in the film. He was willing to do really dangerous stuff for the camera.

With straight magazines, they could also be concealed under a suit jacket.

Pennyworth have some neat ones. I can't find a screen with SMG or BREN right now.

Loved the guns and tech in Elysium, really cool stuff.

Attached: 74ab1-ak47_mod.jpg (553x391, 60K)

i hate cartoonish gun scenes like that. Three people firing automatic weapons in a small room cant hit each other.

It depends on the movie.
If its trying to be a "realistic" gritty movie, they should always strive for realistic gun fights.
If its a cheesy action flick, magdump away.

Attached: Nemesis(1992) going down.webm (1000x562, 2.71M)

first time i've seen this, almost as cool as the spas-12 used in jurassic park.

always liked the eraser guns for sure.

agreed. love that movie by the way.

>Thompson M1928/Chicago Typewriter

are you sure it's the M1928? i was under the impression the iconic "gangster thompson" we know is the M1921, whereas the '28 is the one we are familiar with for its usage in world war 2 (mainly by the marines in the pacific theater). i might be wrong on this.

big agree on the BAR though, i've always loved it. i almost see it as a precursor to the M60.

actually pretty fucking cool. would like to see a prototype using some type of m16 variant as well, though i understand why they went with the AK base.

a nice choice, though i've always thought the drum magazine is such a stupid design both utility wise and aesthetically.

pic related for me, i liked the weird ass futuro/retro design of the district 9 alien weapons a lot

honorable mention: the auto 9 used by robocop

WW2 Tommy gun is the simplified M1. M1928 had cutts compensator and foregrip and etc.

Attached: tommy_m1.jpg (650x201, 14K)

Also, funny fact - looks like Joe Lara wasnt strong enough to handheld and shoot M2 Browning, you can clearly see that he shoots from pintle mount.

>I don't like warriors. Too narrow-minded, no subtlety. And worse, they fight for hopeless causes. Honor? Honor's killed millions of people, it hasn't saved a single one. Tell you what I do like though: a killer. A dyed-in-the-wool killer. Cold-blooded, clean, methodical and thorough. Would you recommend serving? I've always wanted to serve but my parents kept pressuring me to go to college and due to lack of a backbone I went along with what they wanted. I'm 29 now and have a "decent" job, but feel if I don't serve I'll regret it later and time is running out. My intention is to try and get into WOFT to hopefully fly whirly birds for the 160th down the line.

a guy locally bought a crate or two of mosins(40+ rifles) then sold them off individually with a copy of this movie included with every purchase.

I see no other way for me to learn to fly helicopters in poor/combat conditions. Aerial medevac should be easy to transition into afterwords. Engineering isn't my cup of tea, and I can't see myself doing it long term without losing my mind.

Would you recommend serving?
No, not right now. That said my battle-buddy in OSUT was 35 years old. It is never too late, but at least know what you are facing.

Like I said, I served almost a dozen years ago, we are "peacetime"these days, but we are always one day away from "wartime" Throughout the history of our nation, the periods of peacetime are objectively short. You may join, and not see squat, but you are in a better position to see combat in the U.S. Armed Services that most others. I joined in 05 because I knew I would be deployed. Same assurances don't exist today, but we are still deploying.

We are not that far from another war. and we will always be on the cusp of another war. Near-Peer warfare is some scary shit, and I'm thankful I only faced hajj.

My thread on /k/.

Was a grip-pod fag when I was deployed myself.

Attached: IMG_0081.jpg (640x480, 170K)

Damnit I fucked up

>Near-peer warfare
Yea, the slavs and chinks are constantly flexing their muscle. I think we still have dudes doing high speed shit in Afghanistan and Syria? Maybe some parts of Africa? Scary stuff, Trump's gotta do something, maybe Venezuela? I don't know what I'm talking about, but I can understand it's a little intimidating.

What about Reserves then? I considered that too, and I supposed it would be less of a commitment.
