Meanwhile Luke gets dumped on what is essentially a subsistence farm in the middle of Planet Sahara Desert and nothing to work with. It's worth noting however that the very fucking instant he gets off-world he defies the Empire to save a princess, joins the Rebel military and strikes a crippling blow against the same military that has a stranglehold over the entire galaxy, is generally a competent Rebel officer, becomes a Jedi, manages to defeat and convert the Empire's most feared enforcer and kill/overthrow the Emperor himself. Given a single shred of opportunity he accomplished more than any of those three despite being less "privileged."

Kenobi provided little more than a prompt in the right direction and a lightsaber which wasn't even a necessary element in most of Luke's accomplishments.

4.5 billion seems pretty reasonable to me if you don't have any overpopulated insect countries.

You'd have to take into account that Naboo is a colonial world and only 27% of those 4.5 billions are human (and mostly based around Theed, the capital).
It's pretty reasonable since natives on earth pre-industrial or otherwise never got to those figures.
