Is Luke the millennial of Star Wars protagonists?
Is Luke the millennial of Star Wars protagonists?
based luke
And at age 29 you're still watching this shit.
so what you sayin is Nepotism good?
>anakin skywalker
>nepotism
He was a freed slave who’s mother remained a slave, nepotism had nothing to do with it
>Sheev blood =/= nepotism
uuuuuhh
how is being a queen an achievement
you dont elect queens
>b-b-but she was elected
shut the fuck up
>Luke and Leia were 19 years old in ANH
Huh, thought they were 24 at least.
She was elected though
George Lucas didn’t exactly plan out the timeline between trilogies very well. It’s kind of one of the most retarded aspects of the franchise from an objective point.
He was a farmboy tho'. The others are two royal heirs and space Jesus. Not a fair comparison.
>amidala
rich kid born into politics possible royalty since she was a "queen"
>anakin
fucking chosen one and best buddy with space donald trump
>leia
adoptive family are fucking royals so same shit as amidala
>luke
literally send to live with strangers (there was no family relation) on a third world shit hole and has his talents squandered by having to work on the fields instead of going to space academy
all that shit and in the end he outdid them all until the mouse got his hand on the IP
still, luke had to be picked up by an old space wizard for anything to happen
seems like star wars is trying to teach us a lesson in 'talent and hard work means fuck all for success, just be born right or be lucky enough to meet important connections brah'
>still, luke had to be picked up by an old space wizard for anything to happen
he wouldnt have left if the empire hadnt killed his "family"
She was elected
I guess they elect retards though
You're wrong actually, he would have left to join the imperial academy, and become a TIE Pilot killing rebel scum. The Empire's 1 mistake was giving him any reason to dislike them, because if not for that he'd be a bigshot in the military by his own natural skill and the rebel alliance would be ashes.
>protagonist has to work for shit instead of being declared to have it by the writer from the get go
Holy shit we storytelling 101 now?
If only they applied it to the fucking neo-Wars trilogy.
woah its almost like luke is someones out of place autistic self insert.
But she was elected.
>Boomer mommy literally chose to die rather than be without chaddy daddy
>Chaddy Daddy is a shadow of his former self and kept alive by endless expensive medical and surgical procedures
>Despite being a husk, boomer dad still stomps around dishing out commands and reminding everyone he used to be the best on the team
>Son is abandoned to childish pursuits to be raised by the hard work of his pre-boomer relatives in a literal desert
>Darling daughter is sent to live in utmost privelage as royalty, whereupon she acts out with the regine and has everyone killed
>Promptly falls in love with a drug smuggling criminal
>Brother/Son is forced to risk his life to clean up the entire mess, then is forgotten, ridiculed and shamed to suicide
>Women take the credit
Yep, sounds about right to me
How petty of a human being do you even have to be to attack a fictional character, especially one that did nothing wrong by anyone
Shit that's fucking interesting to think about. Especially if he just up and joined and then Vader ends up hearing about the upstart soldier with the last name Skywalker
Luke is gen-x. Rey is millennial.
I thought Anakin's mom conceived him after being raped by midiclorians.
Everybody conspired to hold him back to "protect him" He's lucky he got anything done at all.
yeah, and if he hadn't met obi wan he'd just be a hobo farmer on tattooine
a mad-at-the-empire hobo, but still a hobo
he would have most likely been killed with the rest of his family / c3po would have been captured
...Wew.
Very accurate to reality.
George Lucas was a better director/writer than I thought.
>72% Gungans
>human queen
Huh.
she was elected though
Luke straight up says he hates the Empire. He would have still joined the Rebellion same as Biggs or any other defector.
Padme was born into royalty, Anakin was rescued by notable Jedi master. Luke grew as a desert planet yokel whereas Leia was the one who got royal upbringing.
Gungans are not part of the Nabooian nation and don't have representation nor are part of the republic.
I like to believe Jar Jar supported Sheev so the Gungans could join the Empire and destroy the Nabooians (canon has it Naboo was the only planet who didn't recognize the Empire).
statistically gungans have lower IQ than humans
>likely born into upper class even if the royalty was elected more like a president
>bores everyone to tears, loses planet to hostile takeover by notDisney, whole situation has to be unfucked by two jedi and a retarded slave kid
>handpicked by a jedi master, thought to be the savior of the jedi order an ancient and widespread group with significant galactic influence
>grows up a complete shitheel and creepy stalker/perv, falls for the most obvious "I AM CLEARLY EVIL AND YOU SHOULD NOT LISTEN TO ME" manipulation the universe has ever seen, murders a bunch of kids and then gets his body parts cut off and lit on fire before becoming the emperor's personal sexborg
>adopted immediately after birth into upper class political family
>actually does okay for herself until Nu-Wars where the rebels somehow bungle an overwhelming victory and are once again on the run from the not-empire with her own son basically in the same position Vader was. oops
Meanwhile Luke gets dumped on what is essentially a subsistence farm in the middle of Planet Sahara Desert and nothing to work with. It's worth noting however that the very fucking instant he gets off-world he defies the Empire to save a princess, joins the Rebel military and strikes a crippling blow against the same military that has a stranglehold over the entire galaxy, is generally a competent Rebel officer, becomes a Jedi, manages to defeat and convert the Empire's most feared enforcer and kill/overthrow the Emperor himself. Given a single shred of opportunity he accomplished more than any of those three despite being less "privileged."
Kenobi provided little more than a prompt in the right direction and a lightsaber which wasn't even a necessary element in most of Luke's accomplishments.
>got her world invaded and plunged into war
>murdered children
>got her planet destroyed
>hero of the rebelion
Grayons
>attempted child killer
ftfy
>"And you, young Anakin, we will be watching your career with *great" interest."
>Nepotism had nothing to do with Anakin's success.
Padme lives on some backwater planet no one cares about. She has no influence in the Jedi organization.
>"talent" isn't the same as "just be born right or be lucky enough"
(((talent))) is a forced meme and a mental shackle
>immigrated species: niggers
How small is Naboo that they only have 4.5 billion people anyway? Or do all the young people just leave for the “big planets” instead of the city when they turn 18?
4.5 billion seems pretty reasonable to me if you don't have any overpopulated insect countries.
4.5 billions was Earths population in the 80s, and it wasn't exactly a deserted place.
The whole point is he's sick and bored of his life on the farm.
You'd have to take into account that Naboo is a colonial world and only 27% of those 4.5 billions are human (and mostly based around Theed, the capital).
It's pretty reasonable since natives on earth pre-industrial or otherwise never got to those figures.
And guess what 1% of the population is responsible of over 50% of all crime?
>Theed
formerly Thuck
What were Padme's Fuck and Suck policies?
future sith lords only
Gungans are uncivilized retards but the humans are idiots for electing a 14 year old as queen
The frying pan is the same temperature for all corn kernels, but they still pop at different times
>Never heard of Elective Monarchy
The American education system, gentlemen.
And at age 40 OP is still wondering which generation fictional characters belong in
