Last Life in the Universe
Pic very much related, but be warned. It’s the pinnacle of Alcoholism and Depression Kino, so once you watch it thats it. There are no greater films on the subject.
Might I also suggest “Up in the Air”
One of Clooney’s finest and is very relatable. Captures the feeling of every day being ultimately pointless very well.
Like Oscar Isaac and dark depressing atmospheres?
Pic related is a must see.
The only reason I don't kill myself is because I fear there may be a God and he'd be pissed.

Not OP, but I really love that film. Depressing as it is, it's very rewatchable.

Yeah I know what you mean
I somehow find myself hoping it’s gonna turn out differently each time I watch it
NOPE!!
Best part for me was the end where he finally reaches his life’s ambition, 10 million miles in the air, the thing he’s been working towards for the best part of two decades. Aaaaand he accomplishes it at the worst possible moment, at a time where he’s realising the futility of it all and how he’s trapped in a prison of his own making. He’d been looking forward to this moment, visualising it for so, so long. And when it finally happens it catches him by surprise.
That really hit hard for me. It’s actually pretty funny really, but it’s just so absolutely understatedly brutal I can never feel anything but empty at that moment.
>So, where are ya from?
>....I’m from here.
DELET THIS
Retard
I love Up in the Air, one of my all-time favorites and I feel like it's really under-appreciated. Whenever people say Clooney can't act, I point to this and The Descendants, which I also love
