Squidbillies is literally just a poor man's Aqua Teen. Once you've seen one season, you've seen them all. All the characters are written really well, so you know exactly how they'll react to every situation... and this gets old fast. Early is drunk and violent, Sherrif is a crybaby pushover, Rusty is an annoying retard.
The show is carried hard by Granny, thanks to the voice talents of Dana Snyder, and Dan Halen purely because he is used sparingly.
It is a funny show, but it gets grating after a while and has a lot of terrible episodes. It is currently sitting on 121 epiosdes and they're still making more, i don't know why Adult Swim keeps subjecting us to Squids, but it's inherently political.

Yeah basically. I'm not saying it's not funny, but Early has become a strawman character in the past few seasons, like he used to be stupid and occasionally make some political comment. But now it's:

Accurate. I agree about Granny too, she fucking kills me at times.
I'll always love this show for introducing me to Hinson though. Really can't recommend his stuff enough, even though like the show it can get a bit one note at times. Still, the gems amongst his catalog are well worth it.
