Encino Man was pretty good. He was only a supporting character, so he couldn't really over do it on the annoying factor. He was pretty subdued when it came to his gimmick, played off Sean Astin pretty well. He was meant to play side characters - that goofy friend of the main character, that strange guy that the hero meets at a bar, the college bro who ends up helping a cop take down the triads. Making him the leading man was a mistake.
