That pasta is funny precisely because you don't. I actually do, but never bothered applying it to physics at all because people are more my thing. Physics, the law is the law, but with people, it's just more fun and less hidebound. But I have never failed to 'get' anything about that show. It literally appeals to people who want to think they're smarter than they really are.
But in college it always both amazed and terrified me how much social science kids had this smug air and a stick up their asses to hide just how deficient they were when it came to raw synaptic processing power.
Science is just so dry. It's like reading non-fiction. It has an obvious place and I'm glad that other people give a shit, but I just don't. It's all math. A+B=C. There is no mystery in it. There's no wonder to it.
Though to be fair, if magic existed, it would likely be just as boring to me, so I'm not the norm.

That isn't my intention. My purpose is to say that while physics is very rough, it is also ultimately definite and understandable. Social sciences are rougher and more interesting because its art and not science. Science can get you toward results and speak ultimate truths about them, but they are not definite. you will always find people who do not obey the results of said studies. It isn't even their interpretation, it's that people are not math. Most of them are. But too many of them deviate beyond any understood parameters. And that makes them closer to the nature of reality than physics, which are closer to the programs running in the background of your computer. Necessary, but too banal to capture interest.
