Why does Yea Forums want this movie to fail so badly?
I have not seen Yea Forums hate a movie this much (well, except maybe Star Wars). But you all are going out of your way to try and make sure this movie is destroyed. You keep spreading the word this is Incel propaganda and spouting racist memes to make people think the Joker is racist?

Why did the Joker movie trigger you all so much? I know you all hate capeshit but I don’t remember any of you going apeshit like this over Dark Phoenix or Spider-Man Far From Home. What did the Joker do that was so “offensive” that you all want to see it destroyed? And don’t say it was “the anarchy” and “anti-society” shtick that drove you crazy. Ledger Joker did the same and you didn’t act that way.

Actually I'm making fun of Joker because I love cape comics and adaptations are falling behind thematically. We're stuck in the 80s. Everyone wants their heroes dark and their villains relatable. Comics already tackled this philosophy decades ago and showed it doesn't work in the long run. I want this movie and most other capeshit to fail because I want the genre to push forward with its storytelling potential.

Ya'll are wrongly assuming that I want quippy disney movies in place of DC. That's just not true, actually Disney are the worst offenders. All they did in this situation is switch out grimdark for snarky. While I agree with in that I was wrong for thinking people generally want darker heroes, the emotional quipsters of the MCU are far from the purely optimistic archetypes that I adore in superhero media (Cap being basically the only exception however he is still morally fallible). I can at least say DC is being somewhat experimental with their works.

I think that MCU heroes ARE a little dark and edgy it gets covered up well but I always thought of the MCU as a bunch of freaks that got forced to be together and have a certain 'life at the office' feeling to them. Whenever they have an argument it feels really officey to me, its usually in the form of putdowns or burns "quips" and there isn't a lot of actual love for each other except in Endgame I guess when everyone just starts crying over each others deaths, even though Black Widow and Bruce Banner couldn't even continue dating each other for more than 10 minutes of footage beforehand.
