Fun fact: Little do people know but the 'drama faces' from tragedy actually have a name - sock and buskin
Depends on the person, but it's definitely film or books
Video games has pacing issues
A book
Unacceptable
Book > Concept Album > Videogame > TV series > Film > Comic
If by story you mean plot, then nothing can compare to the written word. Art however is more than just a plot delivery system and contains many more goals than simply delivering a plot.
book>album>film>comic>>tv>videogame
Film > TV series > book > comic > album > videogame >>>>> VNs
>ywn have a lgf
Anyways, you can't really compare those mediums since they're so different. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
>sock and buskin
nice
But you will probably get jumped by someone wearing this.
you're falling for a false dichotomy already by distinguishing a story from the medium. "the story" does not exist prior to being told through a medium and you can't tell "the same story" through different media and compare because the way the story is told IS the story.
Plot: Book
Emotion: Music
Visual Language: Paint/“Art”
Proprioceptive Engagement and Problem Solving: Video Games
Sequential Perception: Comics
?: Films
Changed my mind. Overall video games are the superior medium.
>books: story
>film: story, art direction, music and presentation
>video games: story, art direction, music, presentation and gameplay
Well it sure as fuck isn't videogames, given that most players never finish them. That's why they tend to be front-loaded with interesting shit, it's incredibly rare for a game to have a good ending.
Also, VNs aren't games. I still like them though.
Reading books. No question about it. Books contain more and can convey more. It stimulates your brain more too.
Video games are held back back mechanical limitations though. Only so many things are fun to play. You need a story that facilitates that mechanical engagement.
What’s that from?
Unterulterbach? I think is how you spell it. It’s a cunny western VN thats pretty popular. Never did play it myself.

Comic books
The self-aware world shattering cinematic image juxtaposition (comparison of one man to the whole world or the whole of history or the whole of a historical narrative, through images) capabilities of the medium of film put it head and shoulders above the rest of the other mediums. Literature is so much more preformative, so much more of an artificial construction. The revelations of film are instantaneous, it’s supposed to be understood at one and the same time, un-labored. The book creates what the brain ‘thinks up’, the film is ingested through your lungs, similar to breathing. And we all know that the stunted rotten brain child of thought it’s always inferior to the spontaneous instinct of the lungs.
It completely depends on the story told
hol up
in english, doc
In not a fan of cunny but I have seen that art and it looks neat. Thanx user.
Good try but it’s a hard sell to people that effort is inherently wasteful, especially in the relm of artistic contemplation.
Do more meth and you'll understand
desu no one will get it
Just stop
Juxtapostion being displayed in real time through the hyper-real (IE ‘symbolic’) successions of images displayed in a film leads to an actual true and documented instance of the instinct of the ‘super-natural’. No other medium can accomplish the intensity of this tonality shifting. Cinema came about as a necessity, it had to exist in order to make up for the gaps ‘in time’ that modern man would inevitably experience due to the conditions of the characteristics of our era- the materialist bent of education, social isolation ect ect. What other medium can accomplish this?
Books.
This
It may have all those elements but it's the most limiting medium because there are only a handful of ways to make them synergize.
So you're saying memes are the successor of film?
fucking kek
It's literally too intelligent acceptable.
