You know what's a really good tactic? Design a fleet of light bombers with no defense and send them on a direct course against several star destroyers. That's a genius move. I was thinking the same thing, but after watching it a few times, it kinda makes a bit more sense. On the first ship its the prow or leading edge doing all the contact. This would logically be the sturdiest part of the ship. The second SD gets hit right in a less structural part, and kinda just gets sheered between decks.

The last jedi hyper space ram move is now being explained that because snokes ship had a hyperspace tracker it was somehow in real space and hyper space at the same time like those things from the thrawn books. Basically it makes it so nobody wants to use a hyperspace tracker in the future because of how easily they can be fucked up.

No in the lore you can only workout mathmatical possibilities by the vector used to jump, you couldn't say for certain where the ship came out of hyperspace. I am guessing that whatever they used required some huge power generator that wouldn't work on a smaller ship.

You don't understand physics, either. You're correct that small adjustments can be made in space with thrusters, for ships already in motion, but mass/velocity still has meaning, and a small ship like that would not have enough power to push a larger ship with enough momentum to crash like that. Especially in that short a time and distance. The two cruisers would "ting" against each other, scrape some paint, and that's about it. Rip into the hull of the other one? Not happening. You need speed for that, huge inertia, and that small ship isn't providing it.
Look at the tiny tugs that move big oil tankers around in a harbor. Sure, they can help the bigger ships maneuver, but they don't get them up to ramming speed - and tugs have massive engines, to be able to push/pull ships that are hundreds of thousands of pounds heavier. But you're not going to see a tug push an oil tanker THROUGH another tanker, which is what's happening in that scene.

-Such a basic tactic and easy victory makes the rebels seem vastly superior to the Empire, who can't muster any weapons or fighters protect such huge ships. The empire isn't supposed to be a joke so it's immersion breaking.

The Star Destroyers were jumped by a superior fleet with no warning - the destroyers were getting pounded a fair bit by the rebel cruisers and were eventually over powered when 3? ywings broke through and blew out their shields.

Im not gonna argue about the physics side of things as I'm not that way inclined and there are people with more knowledge than me... but I do know the film and what happens to the first Destroyer.

If you notice when the reinforcements arrive to the planet, the Rebel fleet gets decimated. There's a really neat bit where a cruiser splats into Vadar's ship as it starts its jump to hyper space - which always made me smile given TLJ.
