>socialism on one side and liberal capitalism on the other
Truly a hell on earth.
why do american hate unions so much?
They are extremely harmful in literally all cases. Business owners know how to treat their employees right, otherwise they wouldn't have the merit to become business owners.
Unions are cancer
Boomer Dan isn't it past your bedtime?
Theyre making a big comeback. Jews have done a great job unionbusting over the years so they can make maximum profits. If we just called it collective bargaining like the sports unions do, its would be generally accepted.
>Jews telling you not to give your money to other Jews, but instead consume new products
You don't need a union if you have a good relationship with your boss. Mutual respect goes a long way. If you're the kind of antisocial loser who never offers to take his boss golfing, can't make jokes, or do the occasional pro bono work for him, then yeah you might be limp wristed enough to need a union.
This is one of the dumbest things i've ever read. You should be ashamed of how dumb you are.
Because it's not 1920 any more. Unions is the US now only exist to extort above-market wages for poorly skilled jobs and skim money off the top.
In Australia union fees are tax deductible, is it not the same in the U.S.?
get out boomer
Coal miners have unions, dock workers, steel workes... most blue collar jobs. Im sure theyre all limp wristed, you golf shit wearing faggot.
All my union stewards and current/former presidents are diabetic obese people with many children.
That should say something about unions.
Have firm handshake
Because conservitards have taken the zogpill and then wonder why wages have had stagnated growth for decades.
A solid century of taking corporate cock has led to about half the country developing Stockholm syndrome and enjoying it and the other half giving up any hope of changing things.
Its truly a pleasure chatting with you level minded folks.
i don't think i've ever wanted something to be bait more than this
Just go to the regional manager's office three states away and give him a firm handshake
Mass immigration and moving manufacturing jobs to third world countries has caused wage stagnation, unions are still strong in other counties and yet they face the same issues in regard to wages
Imagine being a wageslave thats not protected by a union. Have fun getting fired the day before retirement and losing your pension. You did negotiate a pension, right? Well I didn't, my union did that for me.
Here's your (you), you've earned it.
>Movies for this feel?
Office Space, because it shows what happens when you don't have a union.
Most are done to try and limit the number of people that can work in a field, which ends up being shitty for people out of work, while also protecting those that are shitty workers because the union is working to protect the dues they have coming in rather than trying to maintain a decent level of quality to the work done.
At the same time many of these unions end up supporting mass immigration to help do the grunt work in many businesses which aids the oversupply of labor that brings down wages in general.
Its not just wages, its quality of life and overall safety measures as well. I mean really you can hate it all you want but in reality its just workers banding together to get a better shake. If the company doesnt want them they are free to hire other non-union workers.
how would a game developer in a union feel about this?
You used to be able to but sadly not anymore.
>just trust the business owners bro they're in it for you lmao
>forget about protecting yourself bro i got your back
>replace you at the drop of a hat? no way bro go get that new game system union dues are so lame right bro?
>yet they face the same issues in regards to wages
No they don't. At least no where near the degree as it is in America where shit can't even keep pace with inflation.
Holy shit, look at all these anti union chinamen.
Depends on the state actually. There are two flavors, At Will and Right to Work.
In the former, joining the union can be mandatory for employment.
Unions do more good than harm. If you are pro-corporation vs the people then fuck you, you are supporting CEOs buying their second summer home while the employees are struggling to keep theirs.
>Have fun getting fired the day before retirement and losing your pension
We have laws in my country things like that. If a company did that the person would be richer for it.
>second summer home
try yacht for their fourth home
This basically. Anyone who still beats the union drum has never had to deal with trying to get a single fucking thing done in a union shop. If you honestly believe that people are going to work hard with no incentive whatsoever with the massive safety net that is the union making them nearly impossible to fucking fire then you're not living in this reality.
Unions are branches of the international communist party. Their objective is to undermine and ultimately completely destroy the capitalist economy in western countries so that it can be replaced by full communism.
Crabs in the bucket, when they see anyone who's not getting wage cucked into absolute submission they become jelly and want them to suffer as they do.
You think it's a coincidence that all essential services have unions and they all make a fuck ton more? Police, Medical, Firefighters, Teachers. Shit look at any Municipal job like groundskeeping or garbage pick up, they all pay 30% more then their free market equivalents, that'd make me butt hurt too if i wasn't in on that.

Do americans really?
Doubt it.
Post the law that says you can't be fired from your job.
>lets frame good things as bad things
>please get rid of unions and make your rich jew boss even richer please
You are so fucking see through. Nobody is picking up your bullshit.
>Crabs in the bucket
>The metaphor is derived from a pattern of behavior noted in crabs when they are trapped in a bucket. While any one crab could easily escape, its efforts will be undermined by others, ensuring the group's collective demise.
what a bunch of assholes
>blah blah blah I deserve more than the market value of my labor
what a special boy what a smart boy, mommy loves you
>not doing work is good
>not accomplishing or creating anything is good
god commies are fucking bleak
Average Australian wage has decreased over the last 10 years, and that's not taking into account inflation
I don't get how working with no union even works. Like can't you literally be fired at any moment? Isn't that stressful? Why wouldn't you want job security.
It's called do your fucking job, compete, have value. Deal the fuck with it commie.
>Like can't you literally be fired at any moment? Isn't that stressful?
That's how most American jobs work, and yes it's extremely stressful.
>Oh boy I hope my boss didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed today, it sure would suck to be homeless
Oh boy I can't wait until the wealthy own everything and I will exist solely at their mercy forever, Neo Feudalism is great.
We had the exact same economic situation before couple hundred years ago and it took the black plague decimating the population for laborers to have enough clout to negotiate a better quality of life for themselves.
I don't know how it is in other countries but in America their only function is protecting useless and disruptive employees. At my place of employment, the union contract says that we all must make a flat, fair rate, and since my job is highly regulated and certified, it's hard to hire new employees because they all follow the money to non-union establishments.
>Isn't that stressful?
no. you only need to be better at your job than the average shmuck and your spot is safe
Right, I get it now.
Define "better" are you under the impression that the hardest workers are the ones promoted? Because being in management I can tell you, its the guys who get along best with the boss, because he wants to have a pleasant time at work and having people around you like makes your job much more pleasurable.
If you can do your job well is usually secondary because most of the time you're a glorified hall monitor.
>Like can't you literally be fired at any moment?
Pretty much. Also your health insurance (if you have it) is tied to your employer so you can lose that too at the drop of a hat. God Bless America.
You can still get fired from union jobs moron, or laid off at the very least, even from super safe establishments like government jobs or hospitals.
It's only "frightening" to workers who know they have absolutely no value, or who don't have any kind of specialization or skill where they know they are fucked if they ever lose that particular job.
With my degree, for example, I can get a job at literally any hospital in the country if I lost my job tomorrow. I suppose it sucks if you lose a well paying (for the position) union job as a housekeeper, but honestly you have nobody to blame but yourself.
