He was utter and complete shit compared to Buster Keaton, so much so I'm amazed Chaplin hasn't been completely forgotten.

He was alright.

Lmao

Far inferior to Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. And while I'm at it The Three Stooges are vastly superior to The Marx Brothers

very much this
buster is pure kino

>1980
1970 is the pleb cinephilie cutoff year. For some it's 1940 (see: dogfucker)

Yea Forums doesn't know anything about movies before the 00s

I hate him. He's tedious.

his later more melancholic and even darker works were absolute kino
as an actor he had nothing on keaton but still was a very charming perfomer with great sensibility

city lights is nice

I think you replied to the wrong post

I love Buster Keaton in The General (1927). It is funny and has amazing some really epic stunts.

He stole everything from Max Linder.

Nonce

he was open about it tho, he even called him the master iirc

Had sex with underage girls

WC Fields and Laurel&Hardy were genuinely funnier, but Chaplin got the cash because he was earlier, jew friendly, and silent

It was a different time
