Was Vietnam really that bad?
Was Vietnam really that bad?
>it ain’t me starts playing
for the vietnamese, yeah
>tfw "it aint me" never starts playing in a vietnam war movie
>That Vietnamese guy that laughs when he tells how he fought and killed Americans
>These American soldiers with PTSD because a bullet flew over their head
Why are Gooks so based but burgers absolute pussies?
Totally. A decade lost fighting little gooks that did nothing to us. America's name forever marred in the public's eye which gave opportinity for leftists to infect an entire generation of youngs with their antiamerican rethoric. And the moment we leave the corrupt government we were supporting to fend for themselves, they can't do shit.
Thanks a lot, you fucking French faggots. I hope more Muslims sneak into your country and massacre a thousand more for what you caused us back then.
obviously it didn't work very well since we still had desert storm 1 and 2
Viets were in their element defending their land, burgers were far away from home not knowing why they were here.
Yes
Vietnam fucking ruined America on a psychological level that they never recovered from. The fighting itself, not that I was there obviously so take it with a grain of salt, is often regarded as being some of the worst in American history due to the extremely close engagement ranges, deep FOBs in unfamiliar terrain, surrounded by non-uniformed hostile combatants all over the countryside, and a high rate of combat involvement due to the new use of helicopters to ferry men in and out of combat zones whereas men in previous generations mostly had to march long distances to their fights.
That's only one guy, and the shock from living a peaceful live to one in war on the other side of the world is a lot stronger than growing up under colonial rule, colonial war, civil war. With that being said NVA and VC troops used to run away all the time.
Besides I wouldn't call them very based when they usually got slaughtered in their fights. You can cry like a pussy all you want if you're stacking bodies of your enemies left and right to be honest.
>desert storm 1
That was almost perfect. We had the world's support and the soldiers were seen as fucking heroes fighting against a madman to save innocents.... and then we stopped, called it a day, and left when we had the madman cornered and shaking in fear.
I fully recognize being ignorant about this, how is Vietnam nowdays? Did they ever become the communist hellhole that we feared so much?
The South is much better off than the North because of what we left behind and the fact they're barely communist there (nobody in Saigon calls it Ho Chi Minh City except officials, and there's tons of private businesses the gov overlooks). The whole country is also opening up their markets and generally improving, kinda like China.
>t. work for company with factories in Vietnam
It's a capitalist country parading as communist. District 1 in Saigon is ritzy as shit. The government does suck a lot, but it's the fastest growing economy in Asia. Comfy place that I'm
seriously considering moving to.
The south was rationing bullets after the US pulled all funding, it got bad.
>The whole country is also opening up their markets
They have been doing that since the 80s.
The Vietnam war film genre is a psy-op to make Americans hate themselves. It’s pushed by marxists. That’s why there are no films about the Korean War which America won and actually prevented Korea from being a total shit hole.
They wear black pajamas and live in tunnels. Don't travel there.
>Korean War which America won
>Comfy place that I'm seriously considering moving to.
I'm married to a Viet national who was here on a student visa.
It's indeed comfy if you have money to make investements, their economy is booming. Considerably less so if you are a poor rice farmer, of course.
Do gook women really have sideways vaginas?
Do you need a student visa for middle school?

Lol fucking pussies
Russians had exactly that in Afghanistan, then for decades in North Caucasus, and then the vets marched willingly to Donbass because they just didn't have enough.
And now Russia is a corrupt hellhole full of drugg addicted alcoholic HIV positive scum.
Slavs are not entirely human
This actually.
No
Yes, but she is 30.
To be fair didn't the Vietnamese just get through kicking the shit out of the French empire? They had a lot of experience fighting invading empires.
>tfw Russia warned of arming Afghani fighters
>the US didn't listen
He wasn't a madman though, he literally ran the Kuwaiti invasion by the Bush 1 admin and thought he got the go ahead. He was even considered a friend until then.
And now America is already 50% black.
>a corrupt hellhole full of drugg addicted alcoholic HIV positive scum.
Other than the HIV thing, are you implying Russia was any different 100 years ago?
Just like America then
I highly recommend reading on the subject. The worst of it was being a green army recruit. You were sent out into the fucking jungle just looking for contact. Once you did they would bomb the fuck out of the place while you gtfo. You were essentially bait at that point. This was not how the Marines did it. They were extremely effective and on paper won but unfortunately tet spooked the American public and it was all for nothing.
They also beat the Chinese after they were done with America too.
It was no different 100 years ago its just the 100 years between then and now weren't like that.
>muh 10:1 kdr
Are you trying to speak?
