Wesley's story while good, was just seen before for me. Perhaps growing up around people who have the "follow the rule book, get disillusioned with the life he has known and mellow out/act out" sort of killed the story arc with me.
Spike was a bit better because at first it was forced upon him to become good(The chip). Then he changed naturally after looking at what he had become.
Him reflecting when he was telling the story's about how he killed 2 slayers is pure kino.

If you enjoy him in Buffy, a tidbit for you. He appears in the show Angel a couple times too, before becoming a series regular in season 5. Faith too. Angel is less teen angsty, and has some of the most beautiful women to grace either series in it. Elisabeth Rohm is crazy hot.

Incredible how much of a step up Angel was for a show set in the same universe as Buffy. Was just all around fun throughout whereas Buffy felt so like so much teen drama at times.

Because shows shouldn't drag on forever and if an actor is good enough you don't even notice the aging. Angel was supposed to be forever 18, while David Boreanez transformed from a lean mean early 20s something machine to a slow grimacing middle aged dad bod between buffy Season 1 and Angel season 5 but he's such a good actor playing such a great character that it never destroys the show.

And the class was about 80-100 students who had all survived 18 years of living on a hellmouth armed with weapons. It's not outrageous to believe that a hundred armed teenagers lead by a watcher could hold off about 20 vampires until a giant bomb went off and scared the survivors away.
