What makes The Witch such an all time great horror movie? I've become obsessed with it and I'm starting to think it's my favourite horror movie ever.
What makes The Witch such an all time great horror movie...
I still haven’t watched it, what makes it so good?
I think it has to do with the bone-chilling slow burn of the film's atmosphere and plot.
I think much of its lasting appeal lies in Anya's big booty an soft jiggly breasts.
I started to write down a whole list and realised it's everything. Everything about the movie is just right. The acting, the accents, the horror.
Thinking about it I think it's my favourite horror movie now too.
I liked the cinematography but the characters don't even put up so much of a fight against the witch that it's just not enjoyable to watch.
Anya
It's not a horror movie.
I thought it was great but the Satan scene was really tacky and out of place. The movie cultivated mystery so well and then that horrible scene with him looming over her happened and I was like well... No mystery now
What the fuck was his problem?
kino repressed puritan brother-sister incestuous longing
True. Would have been better if it was just the voice and she turns around and sees the goat or something.
Because it's interesting. Very few horro movies are.
The atmosphere.
That's pretty much it.
This is a good point. most horror movies are average at best and that’s for a reason, horror fans are easy to please for the most part, as long as we get some decent kills and a half decent story we’re happy. oh and some tiddies, can’t forget about the tiddies
Making that witch that seduces him red riding hood was kind of dumb, I don't know why they did that.
A story of satanism, witches and the occult in its purest form. It just does everything right.
It has a rather unsettling atmosphere and setting. The horror part is just creepy enough but the movie really feels slow and dry way too often.
>this goat is the devil!
>it really is the devil
Eh.
Too bad they used a body double at the end.
It's a horror movie only on the surface.
How did you interpret the end of the movie?
I didn't interpret it literally, like the goat was the devil incarnate, I think that's brainlet tier. I thought of it more as her uncontious speaking to her. WIth no family or man to lean on, her only chance for survival is to get back to civilization and use her assets as a prostitute, hence the all the talk about traveling, fancy clothes and delicious meals.
Its a bone-chilling, slow-burn
>What makes The Witch such an all time great horror movie?
being a decent movie
>The Witch
You mean The VVitch
Sorry but that's gay. It's obvious that there are evil and supernatural powers at work.
no cheap jumpscares
Family.
Based goat and incest tits.
i felt like the fultility only enhanced the mood of the film
>puritan brother-sister incestuous longing
Proof of that actually existing?
Because you don't know anything about Little Red Riding Hood.
respect for the audience and the craft
