Were they kino?
Daniel Perry
Isaac Stewart
Yes, for their time (80's and 90's)
Connor Murphy
no
Josiah Hernandez
They still are.
Nicholas Allen
Literally the best serious Batman movies.
Charles Adams
First one is great, second one sucks
Oliver Bailey
Yes.
It's also the only acceptable capeshit
Cameron Murphy
>bat nipples
Matthew Roberts
turbopleb opinion
Lucas Nelson
Keaton is the best Batman
Brody Brown
Yes, they're wonderful movies. Tim Burton peaked with Batman Returns.
How do you guys think they compare to the rest of Batman's live action filmography? Here's my ranking list:
BvS:UC>Returns>TDK>1989>Begins>>>TDKR>Forever>Batman & Robin
Batman: The Movie is also great fun and well worth watching, but I honestly have no idea where I'd put it on the list because of how campy it is.
Who invited this pleb?
Chase Reed
Returns is, '89 isn't..
Noah Nguyen
>that logo design degradation
What happened?
Samuel Young
yes
Angel Wright
Batman Returns is unironically the best Batman movie
fucking based
Robert Watson
Nah, they're still kino.
Tim Burton has a great style with the practical effects he used that ages fairly well. They also had some amazing actors on board who felt larger than life on screen.
Connor Ramirez
yes.
>face to face starts playing
David Edwards
Kino of the highest degree
David Scott
Best live action batman
Best interpretation of Selina bar none.
Isaiah Sanchez
For me it's a yes
Andrew Powell
Kino
Justin Butler
I hate the cowls. The giant, stiff neck looks fucking stupid.
Zachary Barnes
I just never understood the love for Returns, always felt it was really inferior to the first one and even Batman Forever
Nathaniel Roberts
This song and everything about the scene it's in are absolute kino.
Daniel Rivera
>Outstanding costume and set design.
>Pretty good portrayal of the villains, especially the penguin.
>Okish plots.
>Keaton horribly miscast.
Keaton's attempts a playing bruce wayne are absolutely terrible, especially in returns. They really needed someone with more range.
Benjamin Torres
Think of it less as capeshit and more as a dark noir horror fantasy film. It's peak Burton. It's got the flavor of Batman, but the characters and aesthetic are so much better.
Daniel Bell
>muh tacticool
Fuck off Nolan
Isaac Gray
When they kidnap all the chlldren in those carnival wagon cages and plan on drowning them - really unsettled me as a kid watching in the theater
Levi Hill
Both Nolan and Burton's suits suck.
BvS suit would be near perfection if Affleck wasn't so fucking chunky.
Parker Perry
Anything with Nicholson is automatic kino
Liam Perry
Tacticool has shit to do with it. It looks genuinely stupid. He can't look up or down, left or right, without moving his entire torso like a retard. I guess you see yourself in the design.
