I just finished it and it gets awful for the last two seasons, but some episodes are good. What people don't understand is the irony of the show. Lena Dunham's character Hannah has this dream of being the voice of her generation, but she's a manipulative, lazy, privileged bitch. But she becomes well known in the literature scene by the end of the show's run. Dunham drank her own Kool Aid and she's become her character, but I think her show is a kind of brilliant fuck you to millennial artfag scumbags

It is a surprisingly good show, Adam Driver is probably the best part and there's plenty of opportunities to laugh AT, not with Lena.

It's disgusting.

Girls was a guilty pleasure show for me. I just watched it mainly for Adam Driver, and it turns out he's kind of the best character in the show.

also, you get to see all the hotter girls tiddies.

I mean all of the girls are awful in their own unique ways and it kind of rules to see them fail.
>Marnie is a superficial, self sabotaging side hoe
>Jessa is just a trainwreck and is in constant denial of her junkie status
>Shosh should just get the fuck away from all of them
>Hannah is a cunt
Elijah is the only one consistently in the right and based

Some day we'll gas all those kikes from Jew York, Lena included. Hold on brothers, our day will come.

Its actually kino. You love to hate them. Especially Hanna (Lena).

After watching the entire show I want to do that. All of the non-jewish characters are the most based and redeemable.

Post the webm please.

>dudes are the best part of a show that's supposed to be about women
What other shows are like this? I can think of this and New Girl off the top of my head.

But to address, OP, I saw it. It was a guilty pleasure. They are terrible women. You'd think this makes Dunham brilliant, but it's just HBO making it too good to fail. It really captured a moment for a generation. Dunham is just trash-fodder. She really does lack the self-awareness. Her movie does that and get book makes it undeniable. That fucking episode where she spends a day naked with a rich dude was such a self-insert fanfic I literally cringed multiple times and I actually like her little critter thing she has going on. I don't know where I'm going with this, but watch the show but don't expect anything deep from it.

>manipulative, lazy, privileged bitch

So she was the voice of her generation?

I ended up watching most of the first season, because of the gf at the time was into it. I usually looked away when Dunham was on the screen, but I thought Jemimah was cute so I paid attention to her.
To me it was a self-indugent self insert story of a narcissist abusing everyone around her emotionally to get her way, and to get attention. It was realistic, because I've run into women like that. I found the whole relationship with what's his face to be unrealistic. In general, none of the characters really acted like how people actually do, except her - and that's because it was semi-autbiographical, especially her blaming all of her fuck ups on "muh mental condition" (Dunham also has OCD, although what she describes is more personality disorder than OCD - but she's jewish, so she's a hypochondriac by DNA)
In short - completely self-absorbent, and it's only redemption, if any, is that cast that had to suffer being around her benefitted from the attention from being on the "Hey, did you see that fat girl get naked again?" show.

lmao yeah pretty much

>self-indugent self insert story of a narcissist abusing everyone around her emotionally to get her way, and to get attention.
Yeah you've got it. Idk about the realism since the show's writing is pretty on point with how people I know behave. But to each their own I guess.

The show is It's Always Sunny but more subtle and sad.
>dudes are the best part of a show that's supposed to be about women
literally this. Adam and Elijah were the best parts of the show for me.

i want the one with lena dunham's pussy in it.

I watched season 1 when it was out, all i remember was the cruel intentions girl/girl kiss rip off, to which i beat off to. I don't hate Lena Dunham, hating celebrity weirdo's is a waste of energy

She IS Hanna. She wrote about herself, which is why her character is the only credible one.

I made a comment to my gf along the lines of "if she was like that in real life, none of her friends would still talk to her", and she begrudgingly agreed, because she'd seen that happen.

In the end that kind of happens which is nice. She loses everyone.
