Shit man, not since I was a kid and a friend's grandpa took us both to the movies
I'm broke, so I have to wait on the digital release or any other decent rip to see a film

I haven't gone to a movie theater in a couple years because i can never sit for 2 hours without having to get up and take a piss, so if I watch at home I can pause at my leisure.

I pirate games too, and I've actually ended up buying every game I ever pirated and enjoyed
But with film and TV?
I've not felt any obligation whatsoever to do so.
No films or TV I've seen recently has been good enough for me to feel like spending actual money on it.

I either pirate the rebooted, quadruple sequel, farce renditioned, creatively bankrupt crap that is mainstream movies or I don't watch them at all. There is no way I'd ever pay for what constitutes as "entertainment" coming from Hollywood today.
For everything else, my public library has it or gets it in short order and I can make up my mind on buying my own copies from there.
