Holy shit, comparing G4techtv in 2004 with comfy vidya-related stuff and then G4 in 2006 constantly re-running "Star Trek" with little trivia bits running along the bottom was one of the fastest declines I've ever seen in a normal network.

In mid 2005 it was taken in a new direction after some new guy was brought in. Once AOTS started, it was all

I partially blame g4 for my not trying Star Trek until I was an adult. It's a fantastic and fun show, but I suddenly saw all of the neat shows fade away and all of the vidya content disappeared so this random "NERD" show took up all of the damned timeslots. It was stupid, but it did eventually get worse. Still, I resented Trek for that and I regret it.

I wonder how many oldfags are here that watched G4 before it merged with Tech TV.

That's when it was at its height. Then Tech TV came in, all the good G4 shows were cancelled and the channel got infested with shitty gamer models slut baiting.

Xplay was cool though. But not worth what came with it.

Also, the channel was so new there were no commercials. They filled time literally with video game music, cutscenes, and interviewing nerds at game stores about their favorite gaming memories.
